These notes on your Sidereal Natal Horoscope are provided for your reference and study. They are not a full interpretation of your birth chart; rather, they are building blocks from which a full interpretation can be built.
Each factor listed below contributes to your character. These paragraphs commonly repeat or contradict each other. (We all have contradictions.) Though it does not take an astrologer to fuse these factors into a balanced picture of you and your life, it does require knowledge of human behavior and the ways that people support and sabotage themselves. Knowing yourself is a life-long undertaking. I encourage you to read through these notes, feeling your way through the interweaving ideas and reflecting on what you know of yourself.
The paragraphs are brief. I have sought to pack in everything essential, to use a few words to imply much more. Not every phrase will apply, of course. Some will be more important than others; but the gist of each section should clearly reflect truth about you. When you have spent time with this and have new questions, feel free to discuss them here.
Character is destiny. Who you are determines the life that is yours to unfold. “Know thyself” is the key.
ANGULAR PLANETS
Angular Neptune (EP 0°47')
Sensitive, vulnerable, feels strongly (tunes into others deeply, not always accurately; feels exposed, over-response). Naturally absorbs & mirrors others’ traits. Sympathy, compassion, empathy (or emotional drama, insecurity, easily hooked, betrayed). Lives in own reality, tenacious with their viewpoint, impervious to logic, passionate about what uniquely frames their view (forges perception of the
actual from their concept of the
ideal). Favors complexity over simplicity. Dwells within the unknown, choosing mystery over revelation.
Uranus conjunct Neptune (3°36')
Wanderlust, curious explorer, drawn to peer or push past horizons. Colliding realities & social revision impact life. Rules haven’t been discovered for one’s life (maps not yet drawn, “nobody knows what my life is like”). Mythic, ritualistic sense of one’s position in the universal scheme (need to discern one’s role). Knows that life & reality are more mystical & inscrutable (or just plain weird!) than anyone ever said. High-strung, sensitive, easily agitated.
Angular Moon (Asc 3°50')
Adaptive in response to social, psychological, & environmental conditions (mask, roll, act). Impressionable, responsive, malleable, imaginative. Needs constant stimulation (of mind or senses). Strong sexual appetites; responsive to affection, friendship, sexual suggestion. Amiable, accommodating; sensitive, receptive, tender, empathic (touchy, moody, reactive). Vulnerable to judgments, displeasure, criticism.
Moon square Venus (1°16')
Attractive, charming; much sexual charisma. Gracious (ingratiating), affectionate, sensual. Fond of social niceties. High frustration tolerance. (Passive-dependent, moody, can be blindsided by strong feelings, often preoccupied with whether they are liked.)
MOON
Moon in Sagittarius
Higher & higher (ambition, spiritual aspiration, flight). Optimism (adapting with positivism). Courteous, gracious, natural hosts. Seeks to impress (needs validation, approval). Devoted to ideals & values (political; nationalistic, tribal; loves history). Dramatic (actors). Mercenary. Strong family ties.
SUN
Sun in Libra
Relationship-centered. Polite, warm, affectionate; possessive, jealous. Enjoys beauty, comfort; often artistic. Appearance-conscious (vain). Tease (self & others): entice, deny, gratify. Peace (appeasement). Justice (righting wrongs). Shrewd, intense, secretive. The feminine thrives better than the masculine. Optimistic futurist (personally, socially).
Sun conjunct Mars (0°34')
Action, drive, accomplishment, vitality, courage. Restless, forthright, direct (perhaps hasty, impatient, temperamental, low frustration tolerance). Strong physical aggression (for business, sex, etc.) – women especially are sexually voracious. Industrious, instinctively leads or commands, thus often promoted.
Sun conjunct Pluto (2°53')
A “law unto themselves,” “the exception to the rule.” Little respect for arbitrary expectations. Antiauthoritarian, needs to be free from arbitrary or incompetent control. Comfortable as “outsider” or “congenial bad girl.” Often seems aloof, unresponsive, but rarely harsh; usually kind, “live and let live.”
MARS
Mars in Libra
Warm, sociable, likable. Independent, self-sufficient, survivors (slow to ask for help). Persistent, serious, intent. Interesting, odd (disreputable?), on the outskirts of society. Ego distinction prevails over ego-submersion (but wants marriage). Passion for social justice. Feminine thrives better than masculine (feminist). Women aggressively protect families, friends (power, impact). Possible substance abuse problems.
Mars conjunct Pluto (3°27')
Normally congenial, mannered, even docile; yet enormous hidden explosive force (disciplined & available; untapped; or toxic & brutal). This must be expressed somehow (suppressing it attracts violence or assaults health). Resists control or coercion, defies arbitrary restrictions. Sexual energies explosive or rerouted into work (beware of burn-out). In a balanced life: distinctive creativity, alive with a quiet, intense energy.
Venus octile Mars (0°45')
Passion (in all senses), feels powerfully about things. Strong sexual passions mature early, continue late, rarely encumbered by too many conditions. Broadly fun-loving, socially active, loves romance: interesting, likable, sociable, horny people. Relationships, often picked for ferocity, and easily hit conflict, strain, or burnout.
Mars sextile Neptune (2°11')
Thrives amidst stirred passion & drama. Supercharged imagination. Surges into temptation; impatient with frustrated gratification; requires rapid conformity of reality to wants (usually gets it). Zealous enthusiasms. Dramatic aggressions. Anger is triggered by frustration. Sexually magnetic (yet sexual demons & doubts). Great stamina for long-term vision.
MERCURY
Mercury in Scorpio
Outspoken, opinionated, candid. Enjoys mental/verbal competition (arguments or humor). Needs intellectual freedom, resists mainstream ideas & institutional thinking. Mind sharp, strong, strategic (fault-finding). Strains nervous system (nervous irritation). Good singing voice.
Mercury square Jupiter (2°57')
Love of ideas and learning. Easy “way with words,” comfortable speaking, reassuring in speech and manner. Well-formed speech has marks of a good education (whether true or not). Good-tempered, kind; may seem shallower than they are. Optimistic, religious style of thinking, e.g., “gambler’s roll” (don’t disturb their “hope & vision” with contradictory facts!). Good business potential (perhaps from raw luck more than skill) and always looking for the next opportunity or lucky break. Poorly suited to a fixed schedule or routine.
VENUS
Venus in Virgo
Intellect & reason as basis of romantic choices (wants to make “good choices”). Companionship is as important as Eros. Undemonstrative with affection or attraction. Kind lovers (more devoted than dutiful). Takes life seriously (play isn’t a priority). Matter-of-fact, serving, inclined to help. Usually monogamous, inclined to conventional relationships.
Venus trine Saturn (0°18')
Work, duty, devotion are gratifying. Restrictions in love; ordinary pleasures may be deferred. Many seem comfortable unpartnered, though there is rarely sexual restraint. Childhood hardship or deprivation shape adult patterns. Sober, responsible.
JUPITER
Jupiter trine Uranus (0°07')
Interested in and mind suited to science, philosophical inquiry, and self-inquiry (knack for astrology). Success through unlikely paths (distinguish themselves). Committed to progress, sense of exceptionalism. Ingenuity, insight (sees outside the usual paths, thinks on a broader scale). Respectful yet unbeholden to rank or class; gently resists authority, speaks truth, egalitarian.
Jupiter trine Neptune (3°43')
Idealist (social idealist), dreams of “something better” (impressionable; wants worthy idols). Optimism, faith (hungers for “too good to be true”). Generous (unwisely?). Compassionate, humanitarian, collective-minded. Strategically effective within a “big picture.” Religious, spiritual, mystical interests. Impractical (unrealistic, fantasy) relationship to money.
