Founding of Ba'hai

Post by Jim Eshelman »

May 23, 1844, just after sunset, Shiraz, Persia [now Iran]

The prophet the Bab privately announced his revelations to religious leader Mulla Husayn, which is taken as the moment of the founding of the Ba'hai religion. It was the same day when Abdu'l-Baha was born nearby in Tehran (perhaps at 11:50 PM, per one alleged biography). Sunset was at 6:46 PM LMT, so this birth of a religion likely was a few minutes after that time.

Did something larger than individuals - larger than a conversation between two men, and an event of great impact to the world - occur at that time?

Overall, the charts show enormous suffering and loss. I don't know if that's part of the story, the exact story that was then being told (though oppression came later). I was ready to say that I don't see that something larger than the moment occurred there - until the daily patterns for the Cansolar. The CanQ angularities and transiting Jupiter on Cansolar Ascendant are quite perfect for the establishment of a religion timed to the birth and coming forth of a new, radical prophet sent to strip away accumulated error.
