Was just rereading the notes on sidereal Mars in Capricorn and I hadn't played much attention on the highly ambitious note (as I am an ambitious person). However I normally would associate that ambition with Jupiter.

First of all where does the ambition come from, and is it in the same context and definition as ambition from Jupiter?

Does the ambitious nature apply to Sun and Moon capricorns as well, and if so is it to the same extent?

Also do the traits wild and discontent apply to capricorn Mars (as I would pull secretive, horny, and ambitious as the first traits even though wild and discontent could describe me personally).

Just looking for some further clarity, thanks!

I thought it strange that I might have used the word "ambitious" for Mars in Sidereal Capricorn - a trait well-documented for Tropical Capricorn, i.e., Sidereal Sagittarius - so I wanted to see exactly how I'd used it before I replied. I just reread the Mars in Capricorn page and don't see the word "ambitious" anywhere on it, though (as I would have guessed), I did apply it to Mars in Sidereal Sagittarius.

So your instinct about it being Jupiter-related was good.

Ah, wait, I skipped right past it: "Ambitious" is listed at the top as one of the descriptive words applied to eminent Mars in Capricorn people in the Gauquelin data collection. So it's not a word I applied, but one that was statistically common from biographies and magazine articles about eminent Mars in Capricorn types. In examining Mars in Ca[ricorn individuals overall, I can't confirm it as a trait, but I can confirm things similar to ambition like struggle and fighting one's way for survival.

In your case, I think the ambition is indeed jovian and solar: the Sagittarius Sun and angular Sun and Jupiter. But you're willing to be scrappy for what you want.

"Discontent" is listed in the notes. I personally think "wild" is a good Capricorn keyword in general, though it wasn't obvious enough in the specifically Mars in Capricorn group for me to mention it, other than their being extremely forthright in their sexuality.

Thanks for the quick response. It makes sense that those people who are willing to veil their nature would do it for a practical reason (including for ambition needs). It also wouldn't surprise me that wild would be a hard trait to find in Mars in Capricorn (again the whole hiding thing). As for me willing to get scrappy for what I want, that is a very kind tactful way to put it, I can be down right ruthless and petty lol.
