hello! sorry if this is in the wrong topic, i can move it if this needs to be in the Aspects portion; i thought it'd be fitting here because it's on natal aspects?

so, in a natal chart, do applying and separating aspects happen cyclically?

if you have, for example, moon trine jupiter separating in your natal chart, does this mean that this aspect is now applying?

if applying aspects are supposed to be upcoming, how do we time when it will happen?

i understand what separating, applying, st. aspect means individually, but i don't understand if these keep repeating or if it stays the same?

please explain! ^_^ thank you all for the help! i've been trying to search every where for this specific question, but i can't seem to find an answer

Since you specifically say in a natal chart, then the answer is no - a natal chart is static (it's the same for life).

But, more generally, yes, I could say that in life in general applying and separating aspects happen cyclically. From your question, though, I'm not sure whether you know what applying vs. separating mean (even though the words are used as in ordinary English).

Applying means that two planets are moving toward an exact aspect. Separating means that the planets are moving away from exact aspect. In the normal course of things, planets apply to an exact aspect (that is, move toward exact aspect), become exact (0°00' orb), then separate from that aspect (move farther out of exact aspect relationship). In time, they apply to another aspect, etc.

In a natal chart, no. If you have Moon separating from a trine with Jupiter in your natal chart, then you have this forever. But in your progressed chart or transits or other charts, Moon would finish separating from aspect to Jupiter and then eventually apply to another aspect. For example, it would separate from a sextile and, a few days later, apply to a square.

This particular question is a good example of why I think you don't understand the terms you are using. To answer the question, though: It depends on what orb you are using,

Perhaps most importantly, there is almost no importance in whether an aspect is applying or separating. In your natal chart especially (which is what you asked), Moon square Jupiter with a 3°00' applying orb or a 3°00' separating orb is going to be the same Moon-Jupiter aspect at the same strength.
