"Flood due to the failure of a tailings dam." 89 died, 76 injured. Time is for when dam broke. Dam failure dumped contents of a tailings pond (300,000 cubic meters) toward Certej where everyone was still asleep (pond held "cyanide-laced acid tailings resulting from the gold mine exploitation of Certej"). Destroyed over a dozen buildings (mostly houses and apartments).
