Cyril Fagan Historical Research and Taurus

Jim, my memory is not serving me this morning. But with Fagan's historical astrological research didn't he say the Sidereal Zodiac started with Taurus. Any direct references to Fagan writings would be appreciated. JSAD, any help from you on this matter would also be appreciated.

The zodiac in every (or almost every) location where it first emerged began with Taurus. Admittedly, this is probably because this development came during the Taurus Age.

From a different point of view, he also said the first sign was Libra. This was based on early house models, so likely was later and an adaptation. He leaned on it more heavily when he initially thought Spica was at 0° Libra, which he then regarded as "the first degree of the zodiac," or (a few years later after more research) at 29° Virgo marking "the last degree of the zodiac." Over time, though, it became more apparent that Taurus was "the leader of the herd."

As for references, they're all over, but I suspect there is a chapter or two concentrating on this in Astrological Origins,

Yes. The Hyades are early-to-central (Aldebaran is part of that) and Orion's belt stars are in the last degrees.

That, and a-lot of other things Jim. We know that there is a-lot of things in the bible that originated from Ancient Egypt. I am going to attempt to explain in this thread one of the greatest adventures I have ever been on in my entire life through a couple of books, which explains how the Ancient Egyptians took their Pyramid fields duplicating the Sidereal Sign of Taurus with Taurus Stars onto their Earth (Egypt's) next to the Nile symbolizing The Milky Way, "As Above So Below." This means to me the Sidereal Astrologers of Ancient Egypt were running the Show! If anyone wants to try and understand me they should first start by reading the book "The Orion Mystery" by Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert. Believe me, its a hell of a good story!

The book 'The Orion Mystery' present a great discovery by the author Robert Bauval that the Pyramid Fields in Egypt are representing key Stars in the 30 degree Sidereal Star Constellation of Taurus. Pages 107-116 explains how Robert Bauval was led to his discovery that the 3 Pyramids on the Giza Plateau are representing the 3 Belt Stars of Orion's Belt in Taurus. Certain pages in the book explaining other key Stars in Taurus represented by other Pyramids in Egypt are pages 124,129,139,140,143,145,147,153,154,158,178,180,183,184.

The book is a great read. Don't concern yourself with understanding what you don't understand in the book. Just enjoy Bauval explaining his great discovery the culture of Ancient Egypt with its great Pyramid Monuments were representing Stars in Taurus with the Sidereal Zodiac.
