Simele massacre

Began August 7, 1933, Simele, Kingdom of Iraq (location given as 36N51'30", 42N51'00").
Kingdom of Iraq forces massacred Assyrians in northern Iraq August 7-11, 1933. Between 600 and 3,000 people died. Hour unknown. Forces arrived at Simele itself August 8-9. (This may all be too imprecise to properly target and study.)

Hurricane Flora

Landfall in Sud, Haiti October 3, 1963, "late"
"...among the deadliest Atlantic hurricanes in recorded history." 7,193 died, $773.4 million in damage (1963 value). Winds reached 150 mph. Best known for striking Haiti when near its peak intensity, with other great damage to Cuba, Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.

HMS M2 shipwreck

Royal Navy submarine aircraft carrier. Sank during exercises in West Bay, Dorset. Last communication was at 10:11 AM, to her depot ship, announcing she would dive at 10:30 AM. All 60 crew members died. It is believed that it resurfaced from its dive, opened its hanger door, and took on water; another boat saw it go down at 11:15 AM.
