Animal feed additive plant explosion. 10AM, 1-20-2014, southern part of Omaha NE.
Witnesses said there was a loud crack, the back wall of the building fell, and then a large fireball went up. Chunks of concrete and metal debris from a crane fell into the building.
Of 38 people known to have been in the building, 2 were killed, 10 hospitalized, 7 treated and released. Many workers called family from inside the building as they were escaping, and families came to the site. A lot of mother/son reunions shown on local media since a lot of young men work there.

As of 5PM, the Fire Department's search of the building for additional bodies was called off because of high winds blowing sheet metal around, concrete still falling occasionally, and a sharp drop in temperature, from 50 degrees to 20 and occasional snow, causing whiteouts.

As of 10PM, one body had been recovered by a SAR dog team from Lincoln but the fire department shut down the site because of temps in the single digits. All the local media spent most of their newscasts at 4, 5, 6 and 10 on this event, and there were repeated press conferences throughout the day, also covered by all local media. It's a big big story In Omaha.

Charts... I am just over dropbox.

I'm assuming this was yesterday. (You didn't actually give the date, but it isn't yet 10 AM there today.) Here are the main things I see:

CAPLUNAR
Saturn square MC (0°12')

CANLUNAR
Neptune square MC (0°21')

CANSOLAR TRANSITS
The only daily indicator is transiting Moon square the Cansolar Ascendant, a rapid and frequent aspect but of some notice since...

EVENT CHART
The most angular planet at 10 AM was the Moon, 3°10' below the Descendant. It actually set at 9:43 AM.

It was yesterday. Edited the post to reflect that. All the reports say "10AM" but I strongly suspect the actual explosion was a little earlier, and the fire chief is rounding off the time. That happened in West Virginia chemical spill too. I hope it's not a trend.

This morning, OSHA said the feed plant that collapsed in January did so because one of the bins one the roof which stored the ingredients for the feed mix was overloaded, causing it to fall through the roof and floors below.
OSHA cited the plant's management with one willful serious safety violation, meaning a violation committed with intentional, knowing or voluntary disregard for the law’s requirement, or plain indifference to employee safety and health that the management knew or should have known that a substantial probability that death or serious physical harm could result from the hazard.
OSHA is proposing a penalty of $120,560, and have also cited the plant owners for 9 other violations, including for explosive dust.
