September 20, 1776, hour unknown, New York, NY

Though usually dated as September 21 and having no time I can find for starting, this devastating fire on Manhattan's lower west side is said to have "burned through the night of September 20 and into the morning of September 21" during British occupation of the city (1776-1783) in the relatively new American Revolutionary War. It began in a tavern and spread rapidly. For the start, I am going to estimate 7:00 PM, enough time after sunset to allow for various theories of the fire's start,
At least 400 buildings (and as many as 1,000) burned, amounting to 10-25% of the city's buildings. Other parts of the city were plundered. This fire may not have been directly connected to the British occupation but will surely overlap it in symbolism, since the Red Coats arrived September 15.
Overall, the charts are excellent, though they peter out for the Day.
