Cancers and Virgos

I've noticed that I seem to attract a lot of Cancer women.
My first girlfriend was a Cancer. My ex-wife was a Cancer. I just pulled out of a potential dating situation with a Cancer.
They drive me crazy in the worst kind of way. Over-generalizing, but it feels like they are often crabby ( ) , with hypersensitive mushy insides. I can never have a rational, linear argument with them--it'll just go 'round and 'round with them saying more outlandish non-factual things with each iteration. And hurt feelings stay hurt. In short, it's two moody people pushing each other's buttons.
Is there something about Virgo that attracts Cancers? Or is it my angular Neptune that makes them think I'm the sea-god for them?

As a Virgo, I have a lot of Cancers around me - friends, not lovers. When I've thought about it, I thought there was something to do with my own angular Moon, something to do with their tendency to be good friends in general. All Cancer Suns or Moons in my romantic history were very flitting (and, I just realized, all but one was an encounter, or series of encounters, while travelling). I don't mean they were trivial - three, though extremely brief, rank as distinctly non-trivial. But they were all very flitting, and all but one was while travelling.

Of course, this probably depends on foreground planets and moon sign too. Maybe they can't wait to get back home. I think they are hypersensitive. I think their mental imagery is most responsible for what seems like lying. Anyone can lie, some do it intentionally, some unconsciously like a habit. They might exaggerate to seem they are worthy of being someone. They make good friends in that they actually want to make a true connection with you. They want to find common ground. They want to laugh while sharing basic human experience.
My Cancer friends or acquaintances-one was my childhood neighbor, another I just met a couple years back. I don't know of any more. I dated a girl in high school Cancer Sun, Aquarius Moon. Not sure of any others. I really haven't met many for certain. None of my known close relatives, beside my mom brother, was a Cancer.

Most of what you mention, in fact (I don't want to go item by item) sounds more like Tropical Cancer, i.e., it's a much closer fit to Sidereal Gemini.

I'm not clingy, I don't get jealous, I like LOTS of space, I'm recently divorced, I have a small kid who is my focus, and I have so far found marriage/monogamy miserable. I'm 100% honest and up-front with women about this, and they say they totally agree, but then they later get mad at me and accuse me of being really cold/distant. I feel affectionate towards people, but I don't need to see a person every day, week, or even month to feel just as warm towards them. But this seems to make some people mad/disappointed in me.
I'm not sure how much of that is my character vs my current circumstances, me needing to get more discriminating at figuring out bad matches, or a pathological thing I need to work on.

Thank you!

Jim Eshelman wrote:One of the things I remembered, and hadn't gotten around to saying, is that there are factors in your chart that resemble Cancer - not quite the same thing, but resemble. Of course, the most direct is your foreground Moon; but, even stronger, is your exactly rising Neptune. Neptune and Moon have much the same traits sometimes (Gauquelin studies of traits astrologers most commonly attribute to Neptune produced angular excesses with Moon, not Neptune).Avshalom Binyamin wrote:Yes indeed. So, this might be indeed a case of finding the best collaborator for shared growth opportunities.

(Kidding. As usual, thank you for the insight)
