SSR 2020 Flo, I think it can't get any worse then that.

My next SSR in the Hague starts Oct.24 2020 at 10.15PM
It shows an exact angular Venus-Saturn in Mundo.
I have taken my annual leave around this date to travel to France. Hopefully this will be possible as Covid-19 seems to be on the rise these days again. There is one relief I guess if I stay in the Hague, t.Venus is aspecting natal Moon. T. Pluto and t. Jupiter are also angular on the DSC and they may bring some healing or relief. Natal planets are r. Moon conjunct WP and a Mars/Saturn midpoint across the Horizon.
I figured that to go to St. Etienne in France would be a great place as it has an exact angular t.Venus-Jupiter and t.Saturn quite wide. Then I noticed t. Mars is squaring the ASC/DSC
so perhaps I should not go here on holidays at all. Looking at all the other options it seems there is always some malefics spoiling the party. My option at the moment is to only look at places in Europe since flying out is too uncertain now.
Would anybody have time to look at my 2020 SSR, I would appreciate it very much.
The current SSR, set up in Ernee, France is a benefic one, I am having a really good year so far with Jupiter exact on the MC. Will post on that when the year is over.
Regards, Flo

Wow, that's an
exact Venus-Jupiter crossing. I haven't look at the chart in full, but the astro-map singles out Saint-Etienne as a perfect-seeming spot.
It's also beautiful through there. I have a friend who lives in Sarlat and can't say enough mice things aboutit.

Given the weight of the Venus-Jupiter, I wouldn't worry overly much about that. The Mars-Jupiter square probably will mean you spend too much money having a good time, but the benefics are quite protective. In any case, I'd prefer that to the Venus-Saturn in your residence.
(For Marion's birthday, we didn't have a lot of choice on travel. LA had Saturn exactly angular,
any western location was going to put Saturn somewhere in the foreground. We settled on a spot that had Jupiter angular to 1' or 2', and the Saturn a few degrees off: Those very exacting angularities seem to have a lot of weight.)
More than the transiting Mars, I'm
slightlty concerned about your natal Mars-Saturn being within a few degrees of the horizon. However, again, they are much farther than the Venus and Jupiter. I think you tip the odds in your favor. (The natal Mars-Saturn would mean you trip yourself up, so just decide you're not going to do any such thing.)

Thank you Jim, I really appreciate your reply. It is defenitely comforting to know. I am already on my way
And I like the example you gave of Marion's SSR with her angularities, Jupiter being the most angular compared to Saturn.
The natal Mundo Mars/Saturn midpoint is formed by the aspects of over 8 degrees in orb. Is this still valid? Or is it too wide?

Let me work that u more formally. - Which Saint-Etienne are you considering? Solar Fire's atlas lists quite a few. I assume it's one of them in Alps-Rhone.

yes, Rhone-Alps, the coordinates SF gives is 45'N26' 004'E24'. Thank you Jim.

Here are the angularities in the chart for that location. In fact, I'll do a full breakdown of all the active factors. (I've listed even wide aspects. Gives these negligible weight compared to the very close-strong ones.)
t Saturn on Dsc -5°35'
t Pluto on Dsc -1°51'
t Venus on IC -0°09'
t Jupiter on Dsc -0°08'
t Mars sq. Asc +1°40'
r Mars on Dsc +4°37'
r Saturn on Dsc +4°40'
r Moon sq. MC +1°59'
-- t Venus-Jupiter sq. 0°01' in mundo
-- r Mars-Saturn op, 0°03' in mundo
-- t Venus sq. r Moon 1°29'
-- t Venus-Pluto sq. 1°42' in mundo
-- t Jupiter-Pluto sq. 1°43' in mundo
-- t Mars-Jupiter sq. 2°13'
-- t Mars sq. r Mars 2°55'
-- t Saturn-Pluto sq. 3°17'
-- t Mars sq. r Saturn 4°02'
-- t Mars-Pluto sq. 4°42'
-- t Jupiter sq. r Mars 4°45' in mundo
-- t Venus sq. r Mars 4°46' in mundo
-- t Jupiter op. r Mars 4°45' in mundo
-- t Jupiter conj. r Saturn 4°48' in mundo
t Moon-Mars sq. 2°41' in mundo
Non-foreground partile
t Uranus op. r Neptune 0°27'
t Mercury conj. r Sun 0°34' in mundo

Thank you Jim for the full breakdown of the SSR chart in Saint-Etienne. I see that my natal Mars-Saturn is more prominent compared to staying at home. Having that exact t.Venus-Jupiter on angle is really nice. Just out of curiosity, how angular should the planets be for its midpoint to angles be considered? Is it up to 10 degrees orb? Is it the same for transiting as for natal planets?
Scales suggested I'd look into Lyon as well and maybe it is even better as Mars squares Asc/Dsc even wider. What do you think? And t.Venus-Jupiter is still partile. Natal Mars/Saturn also gets a bit wider. T. Saturn is is still 5 degrees above the Descendant.
I guess that if there are travel bans in October to France I will have to live under a SSR angular t.Venus-Saturn partile aspect. Is there a way I can actively choose to navigate this SSR aspect in a positive way ? I am prepared for the worst

Yes, a legitimately angular/foreground planet which (if on the horizon or meridian) I would take as 10° either side - and then only take the midpoint in the mundoscope (I'm no longer sure that midpoints to angles in longitude are of any value).
What midpoint are you considering? None jumped out at me.
Scales suggested I'd look into Lyon as well and maybe it is even better as Mars squares Asc/Dsc even wider. What do you think?
I think the
only thing that really matters is getting the Venus and Jupiter as close to 0°00' as possible. That is such an intense factor that moving away from it even a few miles would give the other factors proportionately greater strength (even if they were wider). The 0°08' at Saint-Etienne is even wider than I ideally take on this kind of "mission," so you might find a place outside of town that has it within 01' or 02'. Lyons makes it weaker.

Great, I am going to find a place where the angularities are the closest in the Saint- Etienne area out of town. Many thanks again.

Possibly these will help. Presuming your birth time is exactly right, the intersection is a bit northeast of town (not far). It looks to be at the same latitude as Loire-sur-Rhone (which is 45N33 vs. the 45N26 of St. Etienne). On more careful trial-and-error, I find the exact coordinates that give both Venus and Jupiter 0°00'00" from angles as
45N32'00" 4E30'03".
If you can get up to the small commune of Valfleury (45N31'32" 4E29'36"), Venus and Jupiter will be, respectively, 0°00'41" and 0°00'38" from the angles, in a 0°00'03" mundane square. That
might be as close as you can get since it's mountainous and a handheld GPS might not get good signal to help narrow it the half minute of longitude north and half minute east of Valfleury. The exact spot is in somebody's field, tight up against a hillside, on the edge of town slightly northeast of the center of town. I don't think you can get to it.)

So far the year has been very good with my relocated SSR and a partile t.Venus-Jupiter aspect of 0'00* exact.
Lots of affection received, the world feels kind despite the terrible Covid pandemic we are in.
Last week I had two interviews for another job within the company I work for and the outcome was really good. The department I work for at the moment is going to be suspended.
I am happy to stay on board and I feel lucky that things come to me relatively easy.
But that natal Mars-Saturn really trips me up like Jim said. It feels heavy and drags me down.
For no reason. That is the tricky part. There is no reason, I keep reminding myself.
That's what is needed I think with natal close aspects coming to the angles, awareness and insight into the aspect of how it affects you.
At work I ask for heavy tasks that need a bit of endurance. I find that works quite well.
I guess there is always a little price to pay for such a great SSR. The irony is perhaps that I am used to it, having Mars-Saturn as one of my natal signatures.
Regards,
Flo

This then might be the perfect year to tackle/finish some
really heavy something, that requires exactly your natal Mars-Saturn qualities, and has been being put off so far.
(Throwing out general ideas- I’m sure you can come up with specifics to “fill it” better than anything that may come to my mind!)

I think when you have a 00*00' something, it "beats" everything else in the chart - regardless if it's an angularity or an tr-rx aspect. It's a different quality/range of how it operates in comparison to all other factors, so marks the chart by itself - as major key theme, overwhelmingly so. But all other factors were also present - exactly as voices in a choir which made the situation with 00*00' interesting to observe for me the whole year.
It was indeed a very good year. Not always easy but I did feel the saving grace and protection of the 00*00' Venus-Jupiter all the time. Some examples included keeping my job after my department closed down due to Covid. I was transferred to another department after my company asked me to apply and the job gives me so much energy and suits me perfectly.
I also had an amazing financial windfall which showed well in a Lunar Return. Whatever small obstacle there was it always turned into my advantage in the sense that it came easy to me.
On the other hand with my natal Mars-Saturn coming to the foreground I did feel the impact myself, it is tough and severe in the sense that I became tough and critical, sometimes easily irritated and maybe
others found me severe. I expected also hard work and dedication from others which did not always turn out this way. It caused struggle and disappointment within me. So the whole year I also was a bit of a fighter, that's how it felt.
I needed this Mars-Saturn aspect more then ever as I took responsibility for the taking care of my mother and arranging her new domestic situation whilst clearing out the old one.
I will remember this one as one of my best years. Given my experiences of the last three years I am a big fan of relocating the SSR when possible.
Regards, Flo
What's is remarkable that right now I have become lazy with my new SSR r. Jupiter 00*00'. The work is mostly done so now I can take it easy.
The struggle and toughness are almost gone.
