2020 September Events

Starting this thread....

Robert Woodward (that Robert Woodward) has come out with a new book today, and released the tapes he made while interviewing the president for the book.

The president's own words from February, in which he said he knew the virus is spread through the air, and he deliberately downplayed how deadly it is, and that he knew it wasn't just older people who would be affected and he knew it's five times more deadly than the flu.
He is now giving a press conference saying he was trying to avert panic, but that's not what he says on the tapes. There are eighteen tapes.

Oh boy.

Maybe Trump will resign before the election expecting Pence will pardon him.

LOL, I suggested that last point last week.

I'll soon have all the forecasts up to just past the election, slightly more than one month's worth to do. I invite everyone to read through them week by excruciating week - the lunar ingresses, and the lunar returns of Trump and Biden - and piece together your own scenario. It looks pretty obvious to me.

Probably where I got that.

From this month's U.S. forecast:
Jim Eshelman wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2019 7:47 pm The Gulf storm impact forecast by the Capsolar is likely to hit with particular impact on Louisiana and Mississippi. Moon-Saturn lines pass through coastal Louisiana, Mars through Alabama, Pluto through the Texarkana border, all highly vulnerable. Venus is stronger near Houston, so degraded storms with enormous amounts of rain are most likely. Moon-Mars-Saturn square lines through New Orleans and coastal Mississippi and Alabama are the greatest concentration.
More when I get the time...

Steve, I hope your friend in Gulf Shores is OK.

CNN says landfall was about 4:45 AM. The frequent 6 AM mention is that the sun rose about then, rising on areas where two feet of water had already fallen and others where there was damage. Generally, that's when people got to see what had happened. Sustained winds were 105 mph.

Made landfall as a Category 2 storm with sustained winds of 105 mph. In nearby Pensacola, FL over 24" of rain fell this morning, more than double the record for one day. I've given the new Wikipedia link above for future review of damages.

Gulf Shores is in Central Time. "about 6 AM" Central = about 5 AM Eastern, which is close to 4:45 AM eastern.

It was given (in two places now) as 4:45 AM Central Time.

Most of the cable news stations are giving the time now as how many hours before. I think they realized they didn't know what time it was.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. The Supreme Court announced it. I have no details.

A terrible, grievous day in a terrible, grievous year.

For those interested: No birth time is known. I'd speculatively rectified it to at or soon before 8 AM, which fits the event of her death very well.

RBG

by Jim Eshelman
There has been so much grief and loss accurately forecast in this year's charts - the many forms of Saturn-Pluto (including, lately, Moon's aspects to Saturn, Pluto, and often Mars in every lunar ingress) - that it might be easy to miss that, yes, RBG's death yesterday was covered in the most straightforward way by the Bridge aspects and Capsolar.

If, years from now, we were looking back at the single point-event of her death, out of the context of the broader 2020 trends, the charts would get high scores for accuracy: The Capsolar with a foreground Saturn-Pluto conjunction (combined with Sun) as strongest factor. The Bridge with transiting Saturn conjunct Capsolar MC (also conjunct angular ingress Sun, with transiting Mars also square MC).

Then came the Caplunar with Moon conjunct Saturn on one side and Pluto on the other, square Mars. (Moon-Saturn is 0°18' wide mundo.) Add Uranus square MC for surprise and sending things topsy-turvy.

For the day, the CapQ elevated Moon at the quotidian Midheaven.

The Glass Fire

Napa Valley is being ravaged by what may become its most destructive fire ever. In psychological impact, it already is. (The place it started is essentially St. Helena, CA.)

HISTORIC CONTRAST: Until now, the worst northern California wine country (and California's deadliest and most destructive fire) was the Camp Fire from November 2018. It resulted in 85 deaths and $16.5 billion in damages. So far, no deaths; but the amount of damage is climbing. Because of the locations impacted near St. Helena, the psychological impact from destroyed locations is significant.

Cause of the fire is still unknown.

UPDATE 12/2/20: Final impact: No direct casualties. 67,484 acres burned, 1,555 buildings destroyed, environmental (health) impact. No currently available estimates of costs (monetary damages). Cause still unspecified. The fire dominated the state for weeks, was a big deal, but in the end it doesn't fall in the same casualty category as others.

I'll give this a point thus far because it is mostly a psychological event, no causalities.

NOTE: The Jupiter, besides being linked by aspect to economic loss, is tied to Saturn - a mark of structural collapse, much of which is happening due to the fire.
