Brexit - spiraling toward the cliff

News has been highlighting that the UK's critical deadline on a Brexit deal is nearly upon us and - they have no deal. It really looks like they're going to fall out of Brexit with no new treaties with Europe.

The oldest, strongest chart for the nation shows, at the very least, that the country is going through its biggest phase of radical change in a long time. The 1066 chart's MC and Sun are 28°11' Sagittarius and Pluto is just minutes from that spot today. Its Ascendant is 13°28' Aries and transiting Uranus is within a degree of that. Just to make bad news grimmer and negotiation less likely, Saturn currently conjoins its 4°52' Capricorn Mercury. (The December 21 Jupiter-Saturn conjunction will be within a degree of that Mercury, so stay tuned for something in the last days of the window during the last two weeks of the month: Besides this, the Mars-Pluto square December 23 is on natal Sun-MC.)

Solar Arc Saturn is currently 13°20' Aries, which is only minutes from the Ascendant mentioned above. Solar Arc Mars is 6' shy of conjunct natal Saturn.

Great Britain's current SSR has Asc 6°14' Virgo conjunct natal Saturn at 5°05' Virgo. Notice this is natal Saturn: They've been shooting themselves in the foot. Their new SSR January 13 has natal Saturn on MC but not quite as close. Still, by their own self-undoing, it will be a rough year. In fact, it will be worse, because natal Neptune is exactly setting. Natal Saturn-Neptune angular is rather dark.

SSR Moon at 28°02' Sagittarius will progress to conjoin natal Sun a few days later - a sense of new chart with radical change - and progress to conjoin Pluto in a month and a half. There is clear indication of "a new start" n some fashion.

Hi Jim, yes this is all very interesting considering the events unfolding. The 1066 chart you refer to is of course the coronation date of William I, or William the Conqueror of France, on the 25th December 1066. Ive quickly typed up some interesting information for those who wish to investigate such stuff, its all very pertinent to the current events and really fascinating stuff. Sorry for those who dont like history.

The last King of England, Harold Godwinson, was crowned King at Westminster London on January 6th 1066. His coronation was disputed by William as he claimed he was promised the throne (disputable and others also laid claim). However events unfolded and led to a most interesting few months.

King Harold defeated the King of Norway, Harald Hardrada, who also laid claim to the throne, on 25 September 1066 at Stamford Bridge Yorkshire UK in a decisive and final victory over the Vikings, but he learned days later that William of Normandy had sailed from the River Somme France September 27th and landed on September 28th 1066 at Pevensey UK down South. Harold turned his army round and marched south from Yorkshire to London and then south to meet William with little or no re-supply time. The battle was fought on October 14th 1066 outside Hastings UK and of course King Harold was killed with the infamous arrow in the eye.

We then have a curious 64 days, where Edgar Aetheling is elected King on 15 October 1066, but not crowned, as the French moved to take the Port of Dover and the then Cantebury and its Archbishop who was the person who crowned Kings. Williams forces eventually enter London sometime November 1066 and then Crown their leader, William I of Normandy, as King of England on 25 December 1066 in Westminster London UK.

Interesting of note here is that a year after King Harold had defeated the Norwegian King Harald (sept 25 1066), the Normans move their Royal seat of power to Winchester in September 1067, just in time for the Saturn-Jupiter Conjunction of that time, and Winchester would remain the Norman Kings seat of power for almost a century. The line of French Kings rule until the blood line is weakened due to male heirs by Plantagenets kings of 1154 Henry II, Richard I (lionheart 1189) and the notorious King John 1199- 1216 who managed to lose his French territories and suffer defeats to the then King of France and get Excommunicated by the Pope etc, all just before/during and just after the 1206 Saturn Jupiter conjunction… then we have the Magna Carta! Poor John.

But its not until King Henry III 1216 that England is seen as being ruled by an Englishman again following the main loss of all its French/European holdings, territories and possessions and we have of course the Saturn Jupiter conjunction of 1226 at the start of Henry III reign, significant because this was the last time until the upcoming 2020 conjunction that both planets were so close they will be seen as a single bright object a tenth of a degree apart in the skies.

Casting the net forwards to today we have the great Brexit battle focussing on Sovereignty, rulership of law, trade and territorial lands/waters etc. The UK Govt signed a Fishing trade deal with Norway on September 30th 2020, almost 954 years to the day after beating the Norweigan King Harald for the Throne of England in 1066, and we remain in political skirmishes with Europe and primarily the French over Fishing rights of Sovereign waters etc.

Its curious indeed that the events of 1066, culminating in the Frenchman William I crowned as king of England, and the Saturn Jupiter conjunction that signalled the end of the line of French kings he started, both connect to todays Brexit situation and upcoming conjunction…. Maybe this time it will be “one in the eye” for the French/Europe or just us Brits once again… 😊 we shall see. We most definitely have Astrological significance re-occurring, but also political as well as energetic cycles of time re-occurring. Fabulous stuff.
