LONG-TERM (Solar Ingresses)
Capsolar effective Jan 14, 2021 to Jan 14, 2022. (Summarized from my original interpretation in the Jan 13-Feb 9 forecast.)
Effective Apr 14 to Oct 18. (Summarized from my original interpretation in the Apr 5-May 2 forecast.)
MEDIUM-TERM (The Bridge)
START to Aug 22: Pluto Sun. These few days conclude the weeks-long CanQ Moon to ingress Sun-Pluto with transiting Pluto square Cansolar Moon. Around the world, this particular combination of aspects likely has shown upheaval, confrontation of the people with their government, assailing those in power and ruling institutions, changes in rulership, and defiant lawlessness. After 8/22, two of the aspects drop away but progressed Moon square ingress Pluto continues until 9/3.
Aug 24 to Sep 6: Jupiter conjoins CapQ Moon. These two weeks give perhaps the greatest period of relief of the year, especially after September 3 (when the Cansolar's Moon-Pluto progression ends and, in the U.S., a favorable Canlunar occurs). As the only strong, uncontradicted Jupiter feature of the year, it describes a period of growing prosperity and pride, with more positive newsworthy events and less disaster and hurt. Diplomacy, dignity, and elitism prevail. Pride in nation, community, and family are foremost. From the timing, I suspect it means that Jupiter + Pluto has brought recovery and healing and the nation collectively embraces Labor Day 2021 as the time that the world jumps back to pre-COVID normal. If so, this means that holiday vacationers burst out onto the roads, backyard festivities flourish, harvests are abundant, school years start, and people head back into workplaces.
[Additionally, September 1 marks the day progressed Capsolar Sun leaves 1° orb of conjunction with Pluto. The world as a whole leaves a Sun-Pluto window that has marked the year to date, seeming to say that a months-long time of crisis and staring death in the face ends.]
Sep 11 to END: Pluto Uranus. Transiting Uranus squares Capsolar Ascendant through early November. A new sense of freedom and discovery, people feeling as if unleashed from a long prison sentence. In any case, Uranus themes become the main descriptors of about two months heading into the holidays.
Jupiter enters Capricorn 9/6, reasserting the "let's get down to work spirit" and perhaps focus on infrastructure in particular. -- Summaries of longer-term trends from outer planet sign transits are here.
SHORT-TERM (Lunar Ingresses)
Caplunar (Aug 19)
Effective Aug 19 to Sep 16, especially the first two weeks, Aug 19 to Sep 3. Mercury conjoins Mars (0°17' mundo), both planets on Westpoint. Though this is the strongest aspect in Washington (combining orb and angularity), the foreground Sun opposite Jupiter 0°00' is at least as important in understanding the month.
Mercury-Mars tends to be troublesome; however, Sun-Jupiter requires that we give Mercury-Mars a positive spin. Besides its more common negative expressions, Mercury-Mars also coincides with mobilization of tactical and logistical resources. If it does show serious conflict this time, then Sun-Jupiter says that we prevail. However, I think it likely shows the same sort of military style tactical resources being used for other purposes.
Sun-Jupiter usually brings positive events, prosperity, and protection against deeper harm. However, this isn't invariable. For example, it appears when politics egg on events motivated by a non-philanthropic tendency of people with money and power wanting more. One shadow expression of these aspects (in what may be a summer of civil unrest) is mass confrontation of people with law enforcement, especially where a sense of entitlement exists. However, substantially overlapping the best Jupiter aspects of the year (see Bridge above), it likely shows debate and strategic skill applied for the general welfare. (Mercury/Jupiter and Mars/Jupiter midpoints on the horizon reinforce this view.)
Perhaps the worst place this month is New England where Mercury, Mars, and Neptune lines closely converge. New York City is primed for a high-impact event - something resembling an attack - which creates a state of emergency.
Arilunar (Aug 26)
The Arilunar is dormant.
Canlunar (Sep 3)
Effective Sep 3-9. Venus square Ascendant (0°42') anticipates a happy, social week. It wraps around Labor Day weekend, which also has the best Jupiter Bridge aspects of the year. After more than a year and a half of lockdown, it does seem that the United States is truly celebrating a three-day weekend with a pre-COVID style and flourish.
The other strong indicator is a Moon-Mercury-Pluto mundane T-square all within 3° of the angles. Moon-Mercury is 0°14' wide, Moon-Pluto 0°28', and Mercury-Pluto 1°11' - all quite active. If the above picture of the holiday weekend is correct, these aspects primarily mean that people are on the road, getting out of town, kicking up their heels and some dust as if newly unleashed from prison. (Of course, this also means the highest highway death tolls in nearly two years.)
Though Mars opposite Neptune (0°21') is not foreground in Washington, it does exist concurrently in space at the start of the holiday weekend. Regrettably, despite confidence, enthusiasm, ripening of social needs, and demand for a holiday season, danger of climbing new infection rates (along with rampant fires and other "fever" experiences and behaviors) remains high. See the maps section below for where Mars-Neptune is on angles in the U.S.
Liblunar (Sep 9)
Effective Sep 9-16. This mixed week in an upbeat part of the year manages to be more positive than not. Saturn rises (1°12') and Jupiter is on EP (0°45') - essentially equal in strength - with Moon conjunct Venus (0°25' mundo). Both good things and bad things happen. Public happiness continues. Alliances prevail over antipathies.
In most respects, this probably is a week of collectively sobering up after the holiday, bringing a sense of "back to life" reality as the nation settles back toward normal. Politics may be more productive this week as more people are able to think about what it might cost them to win, or what they might gain from losing strategically.
Moon again aspects Pluto, of course (0°33'): We still live in a time of extraordinary intensity. But, also, the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint is on Ascendant, so themes of the week include political reversals, reconstructing a social order, effective alliance, and recovery and healing, turning a corner, and reversing the tide.

LONG-TERM (Solar Ingresses)
Capsolar effective Jan 14, 2021 to Jan 14, 2022. (Summarized from my original interpretation in the Jan 13-Feb 9 forecast.)
- More severe than 2020, but a year of action instead of paralysis.
- Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn continues to define conditions, emphasizing autonomous survival and solitary self-sufficiency.
- MARS square SATURN (0°34', exactly angular). Harsh, hateful, hurtful, destructive hardship, e.g., deadly violence, fires, explosions, financial crises. Fosters hate + conflict arising from feeling powerless, shamed, diminished: Primitives competing for basic survival amidst widespread hardship.
- JUPITER square URANUS (0°42'). Recovery and salvation through scientific advances and social revolution. Collective optimism anticipating good change. Broadly, boldly liberal government or political activism: Ideological rebellion, remapping the larger social contract, liberal social agendas (demanding wider horizons, expanded and diversified opportunity, civil liberties). Invention, futurism, new tech (or tech vision), and “good science” engage imagination. (Uncommon for disasters except floods.)
- Activity and activism, rarely gentle or well-behaved.
- Mars-Uranus. Explosive: physical or psychological "bombshells," surprise attack, sudden action, "lightning war" (blitzkrieg). Moon-Uranus. Swiftly changing circumstances requiring rapid adaptation and response. Moon-Mars. A broad sense of emergency: Violence, fire, disaster, damage, assassination (or other severe crisis for leaders).
- Economic difficulties: Economic crisis and threatened markets (Jupiter to Mars-Saturn). Shifting conditions in banking and economic management (Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn). The upside: We surely need to consume significant resources for economic recovery.
- Structural investment. Rebuilding economic foundations and physical infrastructure.
- Spinning up the wheels of industry, economic expansion: Greater industry and productivity (from the same aspects).
- Mars-Jupiter is stormy (including destructive weather). Forward momentum, expansive, with an enterprising spirit useful to recovery. Post-pandemic era of opportunity for new entrepreneurs, renewed entrepreneurial spirit, readily available capital investment.
Effective Apr 14 to Oct 18. (Summarized from my original interpretation in the Apr 5-May 2 forecast.)
- Jupiter on Dsc (0°38'), sq. Moon (1°37'). The best six months of the year. Increased prosperity overall: Return to work, a stabilizing economy, increased optimism and sense of well-being. Communities feel stronger, more secure. More good news than bad across the six months.
- Saturn on WP (1°17). Survival challenges continue concurrent with emerging good news. Seriously rough times overlap the sense that things are improving. "Getting better" is gradual.
- Saturn-Uranus square. Independence vs. restriction and liberal vs. conservative polarization. Long in restrictive lockdown conditions, people want to get out, to get back to their prior lives despite (or defying) the risks. Freedom vs. safety, the "old way" and "new way." Political opposition and gridlock threaten when we can least afford them.
