Well, my mother just got a call at 5:10 that her first maternal cousin has died.
Transiting moon was square her Pluto
Transiting Pluto is exact on her Descendant conjunct her Venus.
Jupiter is square her Mars

Transiting Neptune was on the MC for our area.
Her SLR is not too impressive. Her Birth information is Jan 30 1957, 4:42 pm, Alice Texas.

Sympathy to you and to your mother. We hear of more of these every week, sadly.

Does your mother still live at her birthplace? If so, there is something you might have missed in her December 17 SLR because it takes some extra calculation. Her Pluto is 5°31' Leo with SLR Ascendant 1°11' Leo. That seems a little wide, but her Pluto (being more than 11° off the ecliptic) actually rises at her birthplace when Ascendant 3°50' so it's closer. Doing my most careful calculations, her natal Pluto is 2°46' below SLR Ascendant squared by Venus. It's good symbolism for such a loss.

Her Solar Return primed the year for some loss, the strongest factor being natal Saturn on IC. For the day, her PSSR is a bit rough, quotidian IC being 0° Capricorn on transiting Pluto's conjunction witgh SSR Saturn, all squared by transiting Mars.
