Electing a time for exhibition/publishing

Post by Arena »

Happy New Year to all! May this year bring our freedom back, may this stupid virus retreat and may 2021 bring us new adventures, joy, happiness, love and hopefully travels :)

Now my life has totally transformed in the last couple of years. Total transformation, and it wasn't easy to go through - but now I'm so much better as most of you know. So happy, in love and in constant state of flow; both being a muse for creation and having the creative spirit within myself, full of ideas and like a very deep, endless well/source of joy. What a lucky and grateful woman I am now :)

My artistic endeavours are now calling for sharing and selling. I've already sold two pieces of artwork. I have produced so much on the canvas in the last few months, it's incredible. Also lots of musical lyrics that my love is going to publish this year. So I'm going to have and art exhibition and he is going to publish an album. It seems like he was a catalyst for me to start painting and writing musical lyrics I was a catalyst for him as well. He had so many songs written a long time ago and now he has them completed with lyrics and can publish them. Also his pr. MC is now on his n. Sun so it's good timing :)

I would love to have some help from you guys for this

I've been wondering what timing is best for myself this year to publish with an online gallery and then also for my exhibition in a physical locale (not just online).

I'm looking at Jupiter, Sun, Venus and Mercury. I want the Moon to be waxing or somewhere from a new moon to full moon. I would also prefer the day to be Thursday, Friday or Sunday as they are the days for Jupiter, Venus and the Sun. I'm looking at transits to natal and solar arcs.

So starting from February since I will need some time to finish paintings and produce more :) ... the first date that comes to mind is February 14th, Valentine's day since that would be a nice gesture to honour my love at the same time.

February 14th at 13 (Sunday):
MC is partile t. Venus.
A new Moon is square n. Venus and opposing d. Sun.
T. Sun trine n. Venus and sextile n. Jup.
T. Sun within 5° from d. rel. MC
T. Venus, Mer, Jup are in a conjunction within 3° and Mer&Jup are partile.
T. Venus partile 0,07° conj d. Jup, opp d. Venus and n. Mer.
T. Mer&Jup within 3° opp n. Sun and d. Venus.

Next good date imo is March 18th (Thursday):
A new Moon is exalted in Taurus.
I can bring theT. Jup or t. Sun&Venus to the MC of opening.
T. Sun&Venus conjunction sq. n. Venus and opp. d. Sun
T. Jup opp n. Mer. and d. n. DSC
T. Mer conj or between rel. d MC and n. d. MC.
(Perhaps a worry to see t. Saturn opp n. Sun!)

June 17th is a national holiday and celebration (up to 20th is good for my transits).
Moon is maybe not particularly good this day.
T. Sun conj n. Venus and sq d. Sun.
T. Venus opp. n. MC
T. Jup conj. d. MC for natal and relocation.
T. Mer maybe not ideal as it's retrograde, but it is conj. rel. ASC and n. Saturn.
(That damn Saturn is in my way, opp n. Sun and d. Venus).

Now Jupiter goes into retrograde motion and I think I prefer to do this either before that time or after (or both). So now we go to a period after October 18th when it moves forward again. I don't really see a great time for this until the last week before Christmas when the Sun comes to my Ven-Jup aspect and t. Venus on N.node and pr. DSC (but with Pluto) and t. Jup is trine n. Venus and coming close to the d. MC again. Possibly a good time for selling the artwork just before Christmas - but I don't think it is the best time for an exhibition. But I don't know.

What would be the best ideal timing in your opinion?

Edit: Just for the sake of not excluding a good timing with Jup retrograde, there are some days in July and August as t. Jup is so close to the d. MC and the Sun, Venus and Mercury can be found in good positions around n. Venus, the IC and n. Sun.

Happy New Year to you Arena, and yes indeed, I are looking forward being vaccinated against this burdensome Virus and its restrictions in order to do some much needed traveling. Good luck on your new ventures and I am sure you are very capable for electing the right astrological times to initiate em. :)

Thank you Steve. :)
Yes indeed I'm very capable - but as you know for yourself, it's always good to have another pair of eyes and thoughts on matters that mean a great deal to you - so it would be GREAT to know what you think ;)

I guess artists can never be sure to sell a lot in the beginning - but I'm hoping to strike a lucky vibe with the stars :)

I see February 14th as ideal with the aspects noted above. But it's a strange SLR since it has ALL the planets foreground except for Venus :D In that kind of situation it's best to look at the most prominent one - which is the partile Uranus which is squared by Jupiter ecliptically. However, that SLR Venus is almost partile n. MC  so that's a very good thing ... AND the n. Sun is sq the SLR ASC. The SLR Jupiter is also sq the SLR ASC and squares the Mars-Uranus conjunction as well, which may mean a lucky break :) ... and the SLR MC is within 5° from n. Jupiter.

Practically it seems like too short a time from now till then to organise an exhibition - but possibly it's best to use that timing for an online gallery opening or publishing a few pieces with an online gallery that has many artists on display.

Yes, I think an online gallery is well suited for your creative art work. I have no experience for electing start times for enterprises. But, I have tons of experience for choosing the best times for short term objectives with lunar returns and quotidian charts. If available and as a possible option, weekend art/craft outdoor/indoor exhibits are good option for people specializing/selling their own art/crafts. In the US there are set seasonal schedules for these art/craft exhibits for various sections/locations in the country. The art and craft dealers choose which weekend exhibits to attend. They pay a set fee to set-up their own booths/tent covers to exhibit their art/crafts. Try to tap into the circle of newsletters/outlets which specializes in the schedules for these outdoor/indoor art/craft shows in your areas. You love to travel so I think this would be a natural for you because you love looking at relocation charts. :)

Thank you Steve for your contemplation and suggestions. There is no such thing going on here as what you are describing with a booth or tent short term exhibition. But there are exhibition rooms and some people manage to get their art exhibited/hung up in cafes - so that is what I will aim for later this year.

I wanted to let you guys know of my fast progress as an artist. I decided to use the good astrological vibes to see if I would be accepted to showcase my art with an online local gallery, so I applied last week and got an answer on Monday and signed a contract with them yesterday, on February 23rd 2021 at 17.29 (it was signed digitally so I know the exact timing). Now I am preparing my artwork to be ready for online publishing and then I'm hoping it will sell well. Many artists say that they had to wait years before selling their work, I started painting in October 2020 and already sold two pieces and am very hopeful that many of my pieces will indeed sell rather quickly when published with a gallery. They are very colourful and full of energy and movement, so they are certainly not for everyone's taste - but I'm hoping to bring bold use of colours into a few homes/souls :)

WOW my home just shook from an earthquake right now!!!

As you see in the first post in here, there is a lot going on in my charts right now and my life is changing a lot. Becoming an artist has been such a great joy for me, it is hard to describe the happiness and fulfilment it brings into my heart and how deeply it nourishes my soul - but it does and I'm surprising myself all the time getting to know all the creativity within me that is bursting out now. I'm so very grateful that I got to experience this before my life is over.

Have you ever seen this website: https://www.dailypaintworks.com/ ?
There's a bunch of painters who try to do a painting every day. Mostly small ones. There are a few sites set up to help them sell those paintings. You don't have to have one available to sell every day for most of these sites. Not all are reputable, but most are.

Congratulations Arena! IMO, your creative artist within you comes from your Venus-Jupiter 180 Natal. I know a couple of astrologers who have done a lot of serious work with Solar Arcs swear that outer planet transits to Solar Arc Planets fire-off important cycles in one’s life, but I have no direct experience this is true for my life---I have not done a serious study for my life. But, I do notice that when you signed your contract t. Jupiter is partile your Solar Arc Venus which of course means t. Jupiter now is on your Solar Arc Venus-Jupiter 180 axis. Also, if I remember correctly, your current SSR had your Natal Venus-180 on the Horizon? Ebertin from COSI says this for Venus-Jupiter combos:
Sociological Correspondence: …artists
So, I would indeed may extra efforts to change my social circle as much as possible and start hanging out with other artist. I have not looked at your Sidereal Astrology charts. Wishing you the best for your new life direction. :)

Thank you both so much.

Very good point Steve, to change one's social circle, or at least to expand it :) A great influence being the man I'm choosing to love and live with, who is a musician and sound engineer. Although it is not the same kind of art, it is such a different vibe in my daily life than being with the excel man I was with before. :D

Yes I think you're right in looking at Venus-Jupiter, but I do think that the angular r. Neptune, solar arc Neptune as well as the solar arc Sun-Venus is playing a big part as well.

Thanks for the link JSAD - the thing is that my progress is so quick that I've totally moved away from small canvases and now I've promised myself to paint only on minimum 1 meter size for a while. I want them to become bigger and more impressive as I'm growing. I believe I will have moved onto 2 meters before too long :) Also I plan to sell my work a lot more expensive (original art is expensive over here), my smallest paintings are priced between 300-400$. I want to be able to be an artist for a living. I don't want to need another job to pay my bills - so that's what I'm aiming for now. I know it takes time, but my quick progress, my love of painting and unlimited time I now have to enhance my skills are helping all this. It's a wonderful new life and I am filled with gratitude :)
