A kerosene lamp used for stage lighting was kicked over, starting a fire during the third act of a play on the second floor. It spread quickly, encountering flammable things. The fire was put out soon but, while doing it, the kerosene tank broke open spilling fuel and spreading the fire afresh. The audience had delayed evacuation and now got caught in the spreading flame, eventuating in 171 deaths.
I haven't yet found a time, but curtain time in the evening is traditionally 8 PM, so I'll estimate the fire started at 9:00 PM. (It was about three-fourths of the way through the play, so might even have been a tad later.)
It was the last night of an outgoing Capsolar that had nothing closer than 4-5° to the angles but a close mundane Moon-Mars square for the region. Had one more day passed, the area would have been under a new Capsolar with Jupiter 0°20' from square MC and Venus moderately foreground, a mark of protection that was too late. The very good Cansolar is one we have seen from other fires - going by memory, I think it might have been the chart for the Triangle Shirtwaist fire. (It's Moon-Venus aspect is typical of theater fires specifically.) The Libsolar is right on the money, the Caplunar even better, the Arilunar combustible and terrifying. With a silent CapQ, the CanQ gave everything we might want from a major fire for day-timing.
