Discuss your own Solar Return...

My upcoming solar return is an unattractive chart, looking at it from either my natal or current location. (Data in board participants thread.)
The transiting Mars partile conj the Vertex, conj Saturn, square Neptune wouldn't bother me much because it's not foreground and is pretty much the same thing everybody with a return that week will have. But that it's all tied with my natal/return Sun and sadly foreground in my birth chart, makes it far more personal. I believe the whole thing, including the Sun, is background in the local return, so if anything comes from it, it'll feel like being blindsided, right? It's middleground in the natal. Not sure what to do with that information.
I have a rather nice Jupiter, Venus Mercury pileup, right on top of my natal Mercury, but that's middle to widely foreground in the local, and background in the natal location. (Right?) The Moon-Uranus trine is middleground in the local, and foreground but not angular in the natal.
So is this more likely to be a Meh, life happens year or an Is it over yet? year or a TORNADO! RUN! year? Any ideas on what to look for, and which direction to look in?

Hi JSAD,
Expect some refreshing changes, changes you need, surprise, surprise
For Elkhorn, Nebraska:
You have a double whammy (actually, a triple whammy) of Uranus in your next SSR, starting 31st August.
t. Uranus makes a square to your Ascendant (2°45') and r. Uranus makes a square to your SSR Midheaven. (0°44') r. Uranus is also conjunct your SSR Eastpoint. (0°51')
t. Mars is conjunct Vertex. (0°37') Mars & Saturn are background and I am not sure how that plays out regarding the Vertex. Sun and Neptune are also background. (so ignore the exact Saturn-Neptune)
Your natal Moon comes to the foreground and t. Moon is conjunct your r. Eastpoint. (0°58')
t. Uranus is conjunct your r. Moon (1°14')
Having t. Uranus foreground and r. Uranus as well, on top of this, the core theme of the year will be t. Uranus - r. Moon:
URANUS aspecting Natal MOON

Emotional vitality and popularity are renewed as old emotional and domestic patterns go through major change. New freedom needs rise in you, demanding that narrow attitudes and reactions be discarded. Emotional and relationship issues are clarified. A sexual awakening is likely. Thrill, excitement, and aliveness indicate that you are riding well this wave of awakening; while tension and temperament reflect your resistance to letting go of the past. Others may view your behavior as erratic, as you "try on" new ways of being and acting. Intimate relationships shift as your lifestyle changes. Inquisitive, curious and original, you are captivated by new areas of exploration, and now view life with a freshness rarely before possible for you.
IN BRIEF: Refreshing changes, renewed interest in life. Emotional (sexual) liberation. Lifestyle overhaul. Popularity; maybe a shift in intimate relationships. Inquisitive, curious; new interests.
I tried to upload the SSR chart, unfortunately I did not succeed.
Perhaps other forum members would like to comment as well?
Best regards,
Florence

Thanks Florence.
I didn't upload the chart because I didn't think it was needed. I know most people prefer to set up charts the way they like them either on their own software or astro.com, so I didn't think it would be all that useful. Do you think it would be better to include them?

I agree. Everyone likes to configure the chart themselves. For me there is another reason in that I find it quite difficult to upload the chart with the right size. However, for new joiners it might be useful. I am glad you didn't mind that I didn't attach it either.

Digging around a bit in Interpreting Solar Returns, (also at
http://www.solunars.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=54#p266) I found the following:
Transiting Neptune Background
Rationality prevails, as the individual with a background solar Neptune typically goes through life with a reasonable amount of assurance. Highly immune to being emotionally led, caught up, or seduced, such a person is not likely to form highly dependent relationships (unless other patterns specifically suggest the contrary). In fact, with natal Uranus prominent, this can be an exceptionally independent, self-sufficient period.
So that sounds like a good thing. But Natal/Solar Sun in the background doesn't.
Natal Sun Background
http://solunars.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t ... b5b79052d5
Years when natal Sun is shy of the Solar Return angles are more assimilative and preparatory than expressive. You may withdraw from much active participation in long-term objectives, being drawn hither and yon, instead, by more transient preoccupations. There is less propelling you toward any creative unfolding of your life-pattern, so the likelihood of special attention or recognition is greatly diminished. Vitality is lowered as well: a background Sun involved in health-depleting aspects is a key indicator of sickness and waning strength, as a result of diminished spirits.
I don't need lowered vitality, and my strength is already waning.
Listen up all you younger people. Never, ever, ever buy a split-level. I already sleep in the living room because it's only two flights of steps I have to carry the dog's rear end down (and back up..) instead of three. (He carries his own front end in case you were wondering.) But if I moved into the "family level" aka the basement, we'd have to go up a flight to get outside, and going down is easier than up, especially when there's some hurry involved.

Concurrent angularity;
t. MOON & t. URANUS
"...the unexpected happens. Frequently it means a removal, change or traveling, an exciting liaison, meeting with strangers, doing unusual things, and the like."
Maybe you will move to a one level home and do some exciting travelling

That'd be nice, but I think I'd have to go further east to get them angular.
Oh! Bermuda! You're suggesting I should move to Bermuda. Yup. That would be an adventure.

JSAD's SSR Moon is middleground and is not angular.
t. Moon trines t. Uranus (2°10')
As for static aspects in the Solar return:
http://solunars.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4053
, in examining Solar Returns, our attention must be focused entirely on the dynamic aspects.

Your natal Moon comes to the foreground and t. Moon is conjunct your r. Eastpoint. (0°58')
t. Uranus is conjunct your r. Moon (1°14')
This was what I was looking at - along with all that Uranus symbolism.
Well I know what it has meant for me, I moved houses, changed jobs, quit job and then now I am moving to a new country.

I agree with Flo’s sight: Uranus cnj Zenith cnj Natal Moon is a major focal point. Also note SSR Uranus is involved in a major ‘Kite’ formation partile 135 SSR Sun & Saturn with Sun tight square SSR Saturn. Also note late in your 2016 SSR year sec progressed SSR Moon partile cnj Sun which could activate and manifest this major Kite formation. Let us know JSAD if you experience a significant event in your life near the end of your 2016 SSR. Thanks for sharing your 2016 SSR.

Below is JSAD's next SSR. I have my Solarfire settings set to very tight orbs so I can quickly see the most potent aspects with any chart. I am not saying this is the best way to view a chart, everyone has their own orb preferences. If I don't see any tight orb aspects then I let my eyes/mind expand the orbs to see wider orbs cnj's, oppositions, and squares. I also quickly see his Sun tight 180 SSR Neptune with SSR Saturn partile 90 SSR Neptune. As we can see, there is a kite formation involving JSAD's most angular SSR Planet Uranus partile 135 his SSR/Natal Sun & SSR Saturn with SSR Sun tightly square SSR Saturn. I deem this as the most potent aspect of his SSR. Then, when I add 13 degrees to his SSR Moon, I know JSAD will encounter a partile cnj of his SSR Moon to his Sun late in his solar year, a most important aspect which usually manifest sign posts in life. Then after looking at his SSR with a first time analysis, I bi-wheel his Natal to see how his SSR interacts with his Natal Chart, just as Jim teaches in his most important book 'Interpreting Solar Returns. When I bi-wheel JSAD's Natal to his SSR, I note his p SSR Moon will partile/exact 180 his Natal Jupiter in Feb-March 2017, a benefic influence.
