Housing market boom

I'm wondering what is causing the current housing boom, and how long it might last.

I'm thinking of selling my house and moving elsewhere. (Probably back to Elmira, but my next SSR there has Saturn on the DC.

The housing market is in a boom right now. Mortgage rates are historically low, and at least here in Omaha, prices are high, and most houses are blowing off the market in less than a week.

My house needs work. I'm not sure if it would be better to sell now as is, or get (some of) the work done and sell later. I don't have much money to get the work done. But if I sell, I can spend my SSR where ever I want.

Guessing... Just guessing... I wonder if Saturn in Capricirn is the issue. We've seen it with Saturn in Cancer; I wonder if this is a variation. Historically, Saturn in Cao has a strong history of insufficient living space, which of course would feed a price boom

That is what the news media is saying, but I don't think this boom will last till Saturn moves into Aquarius. I'm thinking there's something else influencing the boom I've missed.

You can never go wrong by selling at high prices, particularly if you see/feel a need to move by downsizing and banking profits with a sale of your house.

It’s absolutely crazy what is happening in my rural area with house prices. Only yesterday I talked to a young couple who is building a new house near me and was told they put their recent house in the same area on the market on their Facebook page, and had 6 offers in a 24 hour period and sold their house for 20 K in cash over their ask price, with the buyer paying for all closing costs. Obviously this smacks of a housing shortage in our area, and it certainly appears there is a housing shortage across the Country. Never in my life have I seen such craziness in the housing market in my area. Some of the so called experts are speaking of a housing bubble in the making, but I see no angular Neptune in the mundane charts for DC, and as Jim’s research has shown—angular Neptune is the signature for Speculative Price Bubbles. I would suggest: only if it makes sense for your area to put your house on the market “For Sale By Owner” and test what kind of offers you get, but make sure you have nothing to lose by making this play.

Thanks Steve. It's hard to know what would be the best choice, since so much of it is out of my control.

I understand, moving is a major decision regardless the conditions of the housing market.

Here is another link (8 min) from a housing professional who says he sees no housing bubble, only housing shortages, which is confirming Jim's Saturn in Capricorn for shortages, and no angular Neptune in the Nation's Solar Ingresses for a housing bubble.
