These two charts were just too good to turn away! Brinkley, one of the best known figures of 20th century broadcasting, was born within half an hour of nearly unknown Virginia Brooks, who, at age 10, was kidnapped walking home from school and then murdered (strangled). This occurred February 11, 1931 in San Diego, CA. (The body was found March 9.) She and Brinkley had nearly identical charts and almost the exact same degree on Asc. (Not to be confused with the 19th century suffragist of the same name.)
Both had Pluto rising. Brooks has Pluto 0°53' above Ascendant, with Sun and Venus conjoined 6-7°below. Brinkley had Pluto nearly as close, 1°09' below Asc, with less emphasis on Sun-Venus. Both had a mundane Moon-Mars opposition, but Brinkley (a broadcast legend) also had it square Mercury-Neptune, giving a different twist. (His ecliptical Moon-Mars opposition is also closer than hers.) Such dramatically different fates and lifepaths from nearly identical natal horoscopes is worth a study! - In this case, relocation was not her friend, since in moving to San Diego she moved natal Jupiter near IC but natal Saturn even closer to the Nadir.
