Simpson, O.J. July 9, 1947, 8:08 AM PST, San Francisco, CA (AA).
Knox, Amanda. July 9, 1987, 2:47 AM PDT, Seattle, WA (AA).
Two of the most notorious and high-profile murder trials of recent decades with essentially opposite results: He was found not guilty in criminal charges, then later found guilty and liable in the civil suit. She was found guilty of criminal charges, then later exonerated.
Knox' mundoscope shows a life dramatically ripped out of normalcy (in a way that her horoscope doesn't really show).

Query: What (if anything) do you make out of the fact that O.J. had the three malefics all in their signs of detriment?

My mind went to the idea that the malefics are where we get hurt (and possibly hurt others, but primarily ourselves?). Somewhat convinced that the answer should lie in there somewhere, after a few minutes I came up with the possibility that since the malefics are primarily where
we experience hurt, their being debilited could distort them somewhat and bring the harm more easily outward to others.

I suspect (but haven't checked to be sure) that if I were to, say, take my collection of known murderers, we would not find the malefics debilited overall. Might be worth checking. - I have most of my murderers in one folder (60 in there), so maybe I'll do a quick check.

Digressing from the present thread just to see what we find. If dignified (home or exalted) I'll give plus (+); if debilited (detriment or fall), I'll give a minus (-). Otherwise, I'll not say anything. If dignity is ambiguous (different theories), I'll list the sign.

On balance, these 60 people had 23 more detrimented malefics than dignified malefics. However, it isn't even. For example, Saturn placements were more often detrimented, Mars places were more often dignified.
To make this clearer, let's drop out Neptune - since Neptune in Virgo dominated the data set. Using only Mars and Saturn, we have only the tiniest difference - three more detriments than dignities. It's essentially a draw.
There may be something else going on here, though. Many of the detrimented Saturns were in Aries, while all the dignified Marses were in Mars signs. It may be that dignified-debilitated isn't the key, but we'd see a Mars sign bias. This would be more complicated to test.
Or... it may be that (as I've tended to do) we should dismiss the idea of Mars' dignity in Aries altogether and therefore also lose its detriment in Libra. What happens if we make this adjustment in our method"?
RESULT: Removing the five examples of Mars in Aries and four examples of Mars in Libra doesn't change the Mars balance at all. It leaves 4 instances siding to +.

The results for Neptune are interesting considering how slow it is and that we currently have only one pair of dignified/debilited signs for it to work with.

Yes, I tend to dismiss that as meaningless. It just means that all the murderer examples I've gathered since around 1970 have had a heavy bias to being born during the 14 years Neptune was in Virgo; and it hasn't been in Pisces since the 19th century.

To bring it back on-topic: O.J. is a double Spoke. I tend to think of them as soft, relatively harmless people (Sagittarius, especially Moon, notwithstanding). Is that too off the mark?

I've never used those words or ideas about them, though one might think "soft" because, at worse, they're crybabies and complainers. But I think "harmless" might have a hard time landing for these overall.
OK, let's check. I have a spreadsheet of several hundred public figures' chart details open (while working on my examples library), so let's filter the spreadsheet to show only double Spokes. I get 40. You do have some that can be called "soft" in the sense of Maya Angelou, Ste. Teresa of Avila, and Swami Vivekananda.
Then again, you have murderer Ian Brady, murderer Charles Whitman, super macho guy (but scholar) Sir Richard Burton, King Henry VIII who threw out the Catholic church and built an era about himself, challenger of pathetic cultures Erica Jong, Cecil Rhodes who overthrew childhood poverty and sickness to conquer half a continent and own the world's diamond market, and more other creative people than I could write in several lines.
There's not a lot of "harming" in this group, though that's partly a bias of the data - besides the murderers, one could certainly assign that to Rhodes (who laid the foundations of Apartheid) and many would apply it to George W. Bush. And, of course, O.J.
In O.J.'s case, I think the main factors were that he thought he was a god and everyone should treat him like one, that he could have everything and anything he wanted and people should recognize that - plus never really connecting to the human race - plus that interesting soft-aspect trine-sextile pattern of all three malefics that (which started this conversation) just happen to all be in their signs of detriment.
Ah, another quirk in OJ's chart: I still haven't decided whether fixed stars need to be given the time of day, but it's really interesting that he has Algol 0°09' from his Midheaven. (Nicole was nearly beheaded - something that wasn't over-emphasized to the public.) He also had a a 0°14' Moon-Algol paran (Moon on IC as Algol and Sirius both set). It at least catches my attention.
