August 12, 2021, 5:22 PM Supreme Court DC
The Supreme Court refuses grant Indiana University students’ request to block the school’s vaccine mandate. Justice Amy Coney Barrett rejected the request without referring it to the full court.
The Supreme Court ruled in 1905 that a state can require all members of the public to be vaccinated against smallpox with no exceptions for religious or beliefs or medical need.

For the expected major impact on the country, let's redo everything for Port-au-Prince, the capital. The most dramatic improvement is that the Cansolar isn't dormant for the capital - meaning, we no longer have the excessively benevolent Arisolar in play.
For the most part, the charts are dramatically improved, although the CapQ is still too benefic (not quite as inappropriate as for the epicenter). The rest is quite good (meaning: bad)! Saturn's transit to Capsolar Descendant was was exact nearly to the minute!

Malaysia's PM Muhyiddin resigns
Posted: Mon Aug 16, 2021 10:40 am
by TheScales_BothWays
Malaysia's PM Muhyiddin Yassin (legal name Mahiaddin Yassin) officially resigned today (16th August) as he and all cabinet ministers tendered their resignation letters to the King of Malaysia, during a half-hour meeting that began at 12.30pm. The national palace is at Kuala Lumpur. Uranus was setting/squaring MC while Saturn was on IC during the first few minutes of this.
He gave his resignation speech on TV at 3pm as Neptune moved away from the IC.
He will remain as interim Prime Minister until a new MP who has majority is appointed by the King. No snap election will be held due to the pandemic (at least for now).
Reports that he will resign were already out yesterday (15th August) after he announced to key cabinet ministers in a meeting at 9am that he would resign on Monday. News of this only came out around 12.30pm.
He resigns as Malaysia reaches new records in COVID-19 cases and deaths despite a national lockdown, with widespread hunger and unemployment. A youth-led protest on 30th July also demanded his resignation, but the key factor that brought Muhyiddin to step down was the fact that he lost his parliamentary majority.
The resignation did come off as sudden, as he initially claimed to have enough support and said that he will have a confidence vote in Parliament in September.
Muhyiddin first got into power on the 1st of March, 2020, amidst a political crisis, after his party left the then-ruling coalition and formed a new one with then-opposition parties. The King allowed him to become PM as he had parliamentary majority. Malaysia's politics is still regrettably very race and religion-orientated, and his new coalition consisted of Malay-muslim parties, so this riled up conservative support, who despise the then-ruling coalition that had a "Chinese" party form a part of it.
I notice that on 15 August, a Moon-Sun-Pluto t-square was on CanQ angles for Kuala Lumpur.
Our Capsolar also has Sun, Mars, Saturn and Pluto on angles.
Last year when Muhyiddin took power, Sun, Saturn and Pluto were also on angles. He was (and still is) belovingly called as "Abah" (Malay for "father") by conservatives who support him. Though to be fair he's also an Aries Sun.
The Arisolar has Saturn partile on Ascendant, which I think is reflective of the rise of covid cases and deaths, as well as our economic situation.
Our recent Sun-angular Capsolars, from 2018 when a new govt was elected into power, until now with the current political drama, do reflect the fact that, IMO, Malaysians have become very conscious and critical of the government, no matter who's in charge.
King of Malaysia appoints new PM

by TheScales_BothWays
The National Palace issued a statement at 5.00pm sharp that the King of Malaysia has appointed Ismail Sabri Yaakob, (an MP from the same party as disgraced former PM and kleptocrat Najib Razak) as the 9th PM in Malaysia. Our third PM in three years. He will be officially sworn in as PM tomorrow at 2.30pm in the National Palace at Kuala Lumpur.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/20/malaysi ... ister.html
He may be required to face a confidence vote once Parliament convenes, but as of now he has 114 MP's backing him to be PM (111 MP's are needed to form a majority).
He was formerly the Defence Minister under former PM Muhyiddin's cabinet, and was also the Deputy PM from July till Muhyiddin's resignation following a short-lived cabinet reshuffle. He managed the National Security Council, which acted as Malaysia's COVID-19 crisis management body. A state-level election took place in 2020 (were people physically voted in voting booths) and he ordered that those who voted in the election need not go through quarantine. This state election is widely regarded as the trigger for Malaysia's ongoing third wave that is now bringing more than 20 thousand new cases per day for the past week or two.
The Deputy PM (according to some rumours that may now be outdated) could be from Muhyiddin's party, particularly the former Home Affairs minister. If that is so, then this is practically yet another cabinet reshuffle. The former Inspector-General of the Malaysian Police also claimed that the former minister abused the police force for his personal needs.
So it looks like the very party that Malaysians voted out in 2018 is now back in the PM's seat, at least until the next election. Some worry that this could mean Najib Razak and other corrupt politicians facing corruption trials could have their charges dropped. Recently Najib and his designer handbag-hoarding wife also regained some of their assets. Others are disillusioned on Malaysian democracy and the voting process.
The astrology:
t.Pluto was rising and conjunct EP when the National Palace issued their statement.
t.Mercury-Mars will be past MC and t.Neptune approaching IC at 2.30pm tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur.
Mercury and Mars are angular in our current Caplunar. Possible symbolism that the Defence minister has become the PM?

That looks like a difficult time will be had by all. There's a lot to be concerned about, and you've laid it out clearly both astrologically and what's going on. I didn't really understand it before. Thanks.
You be careful.

The whole thing's a mess, really. Political alliances have become very fickle. Anyone could grab power whenever they want to if they could get enough numbers. (
Allegedly,) lots of behind-closed-doors luring of MP's to switch alliances as well.
I could have also added more background or clarification, but I don't want my posts to be too lengthy when the key events are that the former PM resigned and a new PM has been appointed.
Thanks.
You be careful.
Thank you too, JSAD.
Tropical Storm Henri landfall

August 22, 2021, around 12:15 PM EDT, near Westerly, RI
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Henri
Around 12:30 PM EDT, it looked to me that Henri (now degraded from a hurricane to a "high-end" tropical storm) had made landfall. It looked like the eye had crossed onto land.
And, indeed, CNN (at 12:51 PM Eastern) just broke the news that Henri made landfall "around 12:15 ET" near Westerly, RI with winds of 60 mph plus higher velocity gusts [70 mph gusts per AP]. (NYT just confirmed those details, adding that Washington County, RI was already without power when the storm hit at 12:15 PM.)
I would hope for a more precise time and location, but we can do with this for now. As always, we are interested in the question of whether astrological patterns do draw storms like a magnet toward one location instead of another. - It turns out the charts are spectacular all the way through, the Capsolar timing alone being like clockwork (and the Cansolar at least as good!).
At actual landfall, Uranus was just above Descendant. The Full Moon (2° past opposition) was approaching the meridian, which I think is the signal of approaching high tide.
Year: Capsolar {+3}
The Capsolar is severe for the whole country, and especially the East Coast. It centers in on the area directly touched by the storm in a particular way.

Saturn (partile square Mars) leads and the right things follow. You can go aspect-by-aspect and see the marks we've historically seen for hurricanes and flooding. Jupiter-Uranus for flood, Jupiter-Uranus and Jupiter-Saturn suggests there will be serious structural collapse, Mercury-Mars the common indication of violent wind and "attack by the air," and so forth.

On the basis of this Caplunar, I forecast, "Perhaps the worst place this month is New England where Mercury, Mars, and Neptune lines closely converge." (The point that I forecast it, but that these techniques work - it wasn't hard at all!) With that Sun-Jupiter, I should have known it would be rain! Nonetheless, the precision of the hit is remarkable. All of the other aspects are text-book hurricane and flood aspects. The chart speaks of violent wine, flooding, torrential rain, panic, a total swarm of confusion, and a hard impact; but only the Mars speaks of destruction, and there is no particular sign of great loss.

FDA approved Covid Vaccine
Posted: Mon Aug 23, 2021 7:35 am
by Jupiter Sets at Dawn
At 8:39 AM Central (I THINK - it's Facebook and they do time weird) the US FDA published an announcement.
"Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals."
So all those people saying they won't take the vaccine because it hasn't been FDA approved can take it now.

This is the event that is going to fulfill my prediction (posted in 2020) that the two weeks beginning tomorrow were going to be the turning point.
Until now, most businesses have not required employees to be vaccinated for a little-discussed reason: If you force someone to take a vaccine that isn't agency approved, you incur liability. So the approach has been to put compromises in place. As early as this week, that's going to change: Many businesses (probably a large majority) will now start requiring vaccinations to return to the workplace. (No more, "get vaccinated or submit to weekly testing.") The math is now: No liability incurred by requiring vaccination, enormous liability incurred by letting unvaccinated people back into the workplace, make exceptions for people who have medical conditions that make the vaccine specifically dangerous for them.
ISIS attack on Americans in Kabul

August 26, 2021, time unknown (est. 7 PM), near Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport 34N33'57", 69E12'47"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Kabu ... de_bombing
At 10:55 AM Eastern Time,
New York Times reported an explosion outside Kabul airport that "has left an unconfirmed number of casualties." The explosion was caused by a suicide bomber (some reports say two) within a packed crowd outside the airport. At least 12 American military members died along with
scores of Afghan civilians (at least 60). It is one of the deadliest attacks in the 20-year-history of American presence in Afghanistan.
The Afghani-based branch if the Islamic State (ISIS-K) has claimed credit. I haven't found a time yet. The time of NYT's report converts to 7:25 PM AFT, so the time is probably soon after 7 PM, about the time Mars set and Neptune squared MC, all under a Moon-Pluto square. Using this time for now, some of the charts are quite good and the pattern overall is not bad.
NOTE: This has to have been earlier since 7 PM was about an hour past sunset and after-the-event pictures show daylight. A colleague saw a news report that suggested to her the event was 4 PM.
UPDATE 8/27: Death toll now 170.
UPDATE 8/27: The Wikipedia page is now up - I've added it above. It gives the time as 5:50 PM. The article is slightly out of date since it only lists 103 deaths and at least 170 is now the number. - If the breakdown below is used in the future, it needs to be updated for the better time.
UPDATE 8/28: Pinning down the time is getting crazier. Someone just sent me a news article that says it was posted at 6:05 AM EDT, which is 2:35 PM Kabul time, reporting the incident. This is so divergent from every other piece of information that I wonder if the time stamp is wrong. I'm not sure what to believe for the timing. Casualties are now up to at least 182.

Thanks. A colleague just posted an exacting time of 11:54:47 AM CDT at Port Fourchon, LA (near Grand Isle, LA), and I'm trying to find her source - but it matches yours to the minute. Looks like Uranus exactly setting. I'm off to read the news items that have been chirping in my inbox, then... here we go:
PS - She just answered that the timing was from a local weather service and showed me a graphic of the National Hurricane Center announcing 11:55 a Port Fourchon. Another correspondent living in New Orleans said 20 minutes ago that it sounds like a freight train immediately outside his window.
August 29, 2021, 11:55 AM CDT, Port Fourchon, LA (29N06'21", 90W11'40")
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Ida
First landfall as a Category 4 hurricane with 150 mph maximum sustained winds. This wind speed means it ties in strength with the strongest hurricane ever to hit Louisiana. (I'm curious about barometric pressure differences which measure intensity.) Earlier storms of this wind speed strength were Hurricane Laura in 2020 and the Last Island Hurricane (studied in
Sidereal Mundane Astrology). Hurricane-force winds extend 50 miles from the center. Tropical storm-force winds stretch 150 miles from the center. (Currently, the center is forecast to pass about 30 miles west of New Orleans.) - The threshold of a Category 5 story is 157 mph, so this is close.
As I write this, no casualties and damages have been reported. This surely will change.
At landfall, Uranus was 0°08' from Descendant. During the minute of first impact (about half a minute from the given time), it was a precise hit. The charts overall are quite good.

The Afghanistan War began October 7, 2001, 9:15 PM AFT in Kabul, Afghanistan with the start of American bombing. Does the above chart mark an event in the "life" of the war then commenced? (Are such charts truly
radical in the sense of being a birth, as so often thought?)
Transiting Neptune barely octiles natal Neptune (0°53').
Some will want to count Uranus' sextile to natal Jupiter (0°09'), though I'm skeptical of the aspect. Nor am I taken with the quincunxes Uranus made to natal Sun and Pluto, though
perhaps would consider that it hit their midpoint within within a degree.
The most solid transit is transiting Mars conjunct natal Venus 0°24', which is more characteristic of inaugurating war than inaugurating peace.
None of this is impressive.
However... one remarkable thing that must be explored... the war began with Moon 18°59' Taurus and ended with Moon 18°43' Taurus - a nearly precise Moon-Moon conjunction. Is this Sidereal Lunar Return of interest?
The war's SLR occurred today, August 30, at 5:12:40 PM EDT and at least marks a turning point and
maybe a peaceful turning point. It's strongest angularity is Saturn on EP-a 0°25', though it has wider angularities of Uranus, Pluto, and even Venus. Then there is another mix of natal planets more or less on the angles. The whole thing is a tossed salad and, while it gives us many foreground planets to endorse, the
most angular aren't credible for end of war, though it does show enormous morbid grief with Saturn conjunct natal Neptune on EP. Relocating to Kabul doesn't improve it.
So, no... I'm not inclined to accept that the start of war had a "birth chart" that would show the course of the war and its main events.

Before 4:40 PM EDT August 30, 2021 (DC) (maybe five minutes before) announcement that the US military withdrawal from Afghanistan has been completed.
So lets turn, instead, to a study of the ingresses. First, for the U.S.
Year: Capsolar
We know this well: It's a horrible chart overseeing a horrible year. No need to work it up again. It's not particularly appropriate for peace, though it has a few markers of it. Mostly it is a chart of conflict and death, which we certainly have had thus far in the year.
Bridge {+2}
CanQ Moon sq. s/p Pluto 0°52'
t Pluto sq. Cansolar Moon 0°07'
t Jupiter co. CapQ Moon 0°03'
Quarter: Cansolar (Silent.) Moon-Sun, Moon-Pluto
Quarter: Arisolar {+2}
Jupiter on Dsc 0°38'
Moon on Z 0°44'
Saturn on WP-a 1°17'
Uranus barely foreground
-- Moon-Jupiter sq. 1°37'
-- Saturn-Uranus sq. 2°34'
Month: Caplunar
This one is mixed - it has a marvelous sign of war's conclusion, though even more ferocious symbols of war itself, conflict, complex logistics, etc., which has indeed marked the month - but not this particular event.
Mercury on WP-a 1°08'
Mars on WP-a 1°55'
Sun, Jupiter,& Neptune more widely foreground
-- Sun-Jupiter op.
0°00'
-- Mercury-Mars co. 0°17'
mundo
-- Mars-Neptune sq. 2°14' PVP
-- Mercury-Neptune sq. 2°31' PVP
Moon-Pluto co. 0°13'
Week: Arilunar (Silent.) Moon-Pluto.
Day: Capsolar Quotidian {+2 or +3}
t Jupiter co. p Moon 0°03'
p Asc op. r Sun 0°42'
Day: Cansolar Quotidian & Transits {+3 / +2 = +2}
This is excellent!
p Moon-Pluto sq. 0°52'
p Asc op. t Jupiter 0°45', co. s Venus 0°38'

t Pluto sq. s Moon 0°07'
t Mercury op. s MC 1°50'

I think the time of announcement is more important than the time it was completed. It's as close as we're likely to get to a declaration that the war is over.

The Military seems to think the time it was "over" (when the last plane was in the air and wheels up) is the important time. The General on air announced it very particularily. Doesn't mean they're right, although I think they're right for them.
The announcement was made before 4:37 PM Central but not more than five minutes before. I was otherwise engaged when the announcement started, and wasn't able to get the exact time.

I assume EST means EDT. In Kabul, this was at least an astrologically
significant moment because it was roughly midnight with Sun on IC and Moon on EP. And in DC there was, at the same moment, Venus nearly on MC.

It does. The official announcement said "East Coast time." later clarified to EDT. Sorry. I edited the original to fix.
