New 2021 SSR begins October 7 at 16:13:28

Hi all. I'm sorry I disappeared from the forum so suddenly, life has been rough lately. However, early this week my feelings about my life & the future took a positive turn. It was actually a frustrating day tinged with anger but I went from feeling restricted & powerless to feeling empowered & that finding a way out of my current situation is much more possible than I had thought - it was an evaluation of worth moment. My current SLR started that evening so that may explain it but for some reason it occurred to me that my current SSR was wrapping up & maybe I was starting to feel the effects of my upcoming SSR beginning in about 3 weeks. My new SSR will have transiting Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, & Uranus foreground. The free program I've been using, Astroseek, made it appear that Jupiter was slightly closer foreground than Saturn. I was suspicious so I downloaded Mike's new program and found that Saturn may be my most foreground transiting planet for the year. Yikes? I would love to have the full picture so I can stop obsessing over this & just get on with it so I'm here asking for help yet again. Jim, if & when you have time, would you mind giving me one of your brilliant run downs on my upcoming SSR?

Also transiting Moon is very much in the background but I've read that Solar Moons are like another angle. I have two possibly important aspects that seem to contradict each other, Moon-Saturn & Moon-Jupiter. Moon-Jupiter is slightly closer & my natal Jupiter is foreground so maybe it wins?

And lastly thank you so much Mike for the program you have created, it's awesome to see mundo aspects & I'm so excited to watch your creation unfold!

Congratulations on the forward movement! Transiting Uranus has been opposing your Uranus - always likely to shake things loose so they can settle back into a new shape - and Monday was a Mars-Uranus octile in space that looks like it triggered the shift. Then, as you correctly guessed, your SLR occurred 9:18 PM that night with Uranus rising (opposite all sorts of natal planets - mundanely it included Mars, Uranus, and Pluto), Pluto near MC, and - closest of all - Venus 2°36'. So it sounds like a really useful, even prospering thunderstorm blew through your life and knocked down just exactly the right branches.

Your upcoming SSR is better than you thought, but still with some rough stuff - and even some of the tensest stuff is more of the Uranus transits that served you this week - though a mundane Venus-Saturn square near angles is likely to bring some heartache or sense of loss, but there are also two important Venus-Jupiter combinations - which, to me, sounds better on balance (perhaps loss paving the way for new happiness?). Here is the breakdown:

r Uranus on Z -2°24'
t Jupiter on Asc -6°12'

t Uranus on N -0°55'
----------------------------
r Mars on Z +0°08'
t Saturn on Asc +2°49'

r Jupiter on Dsc +3°49'
t Venus on MC +4°44'

t Saturn op. r Jupiter 0°52'
t Venus sq. r Jupiter 0°55' mundo
t Jupiter sq. r Venus 1°04'
t Uranus op. r Mars 1°04'
t Uranus op. r Uranus 1°28'
t Venus-Saturn sq. 1°55' mundo

t Moon conj. r Pluto 1°23' mundo
t Moon sq. r Jupiter 2°27'
t Moon-Saturn sq. 3°19'

There is another aspect - probably important - that we're just starting to learn about: Moon opposes Eris 0°15' in mundo. I want to mention it but don't want to pretend we have clear ideas of what it means. Perhaps you can help us sort this out over the course of the year.

You'll want to monitor Moon's progression to Saturn about three months after your birthday. That's probably when the Venus-Saturn themes will come to a head. But one of the best parts of the year is likely to be a month before that when Moon progresses to square natal Jupiter.''

One final thing: If you're able to travel a little for your birthday, you can sharpen the positive side of this SSR. The westernmost part of West Virginia brings Venus even closer to the angle. (It also brings Saturn closer, but not as close as Venus.) Huntington, for example, puts Venus 0°13' from MC and Saturn only slightly closer (1°28') to where you live (and wider than Venus). The risk is that it emphasizes the Venus-Saturn square even more. - I thought Charleston would be a good compromise, but it has the Venus-Saturn equally from the angles and makes their square closer, so I don't recommend Charleston for your birthday.

But the real find - and quite a coincidence, since I'm also going there for my birthday soon after - is Memphis. Memphis is a perfect convergence of Jupiter and Moon square the angles with a double-benefic natal planet bonus. Only the Saturn transit to your Jupiter looks difficult (and you have that anywhere in the eastern third of the country):

t Saturn on Asc -3°09'
r Jupiter on Dsc -2°19'
t Jupiter sq. MC -0°10'
------------------------
t Moon sq. Asc +0°19'

r Venus on MC +4°49'
t Pluto on Asc +5°05'

t Pluto sq. r Venus 0°16'
t Saturn op. r Jupiter 0°50' mundo (0°52' eclipto)
t Jupiter sq. r Venus 1°04'
t Moon sq. r Jupiter2°27'

Thank you so much for this Jim. On Monday I decided that I have to start looking for work out of state. I've wanted to move for a while now but wasn't willing to leave my son. But I HAVE to go. I'm not even sure if it will work out as I don't have a car & my savings are dwindling away but as I told my son, if I'm meant to leave a door will open. All the doors & windows have been slammed shut here after all, it's as if this place is saying "time to go, you're needed elsewhere". I'm a bit worried about Saturn-Jupiter possibly restricting me but I don't know if I've ever felt more restricted than I've felt this past year. If it's meant to happen, it will. Every fiber of my being is saying all I have to do is make the effort & it will.

Moon-Saturn & Venus-Saturn may very well be my moving away from my son. I don't know if it has any bearing but our Venuses are conjoined & my Saturn somewhat widely conjoins his Moon. I've been a mama since I was 18 years old & it's hard even typing this out because I keep crying at the thought of not being in the same place as him. But I have to trust we'll be in the same place again hopefully very soon.

I would love to travel for my birthday but finances won't allow for it. Plus I'd be alone & I'd really prefer to not be. So come what may! 8-)

t Moon conj. r Pluto 1°23' mundo could prove interesting. If my source is correct (Astrodienst) I also have t Pluto op Progressed Moon nearly exact on my birthday. Pluto is also stationary although I'm not sure that means anything.

Is my SSR favorable for romance, preferably lasting love? The Venus-Saturn sq. is concerning. Is it pretty much a nail in the coffin for romantic love matters?

Definitely not a "nail in the coffin." The indicators are mixed and complexed.

First, there are also two Venus-Jupiter aspects. Both are closer than the Venus-Saturn, so we can say that, on balance, the portents for love are more positive than negative. The Venus-Saturn does suggest that there will be some heartache, some sense of loss - but the positive indicators are stronger. I suspect the meaning (on balance) is that there are strong, positive indicators for giving and receiving love and there is some measure of heartache in the situation, whether because something positive flourishes for a while and then departs, or because of some particular conditions of the relationship(s).

Venus-Saturn alone isn't always negative. It's good for commitment and stick-with-it devotion. The loss element is often that there is something dear that one has to give up, that there is work and effort involved, etc. - But I have seen as many relationships forged and secured under this as I have seen relationships lost. By itself, it's better for what you've termed "lasting love" than for transient love, because the "I'm in this for better or worse" conditions are what we bring to our strongest, most enduring relationships.

Thank you Jim. After being single for over a decade I'm definitely not in the mood for a fling. I would love a real committed partnership for the first time in my life. Whew I feel vulnerable even typing this out. Interestingly I just had Venus transiting my Uranus. And now here I am, finally finding myself ready and even more astonishingly, admitting I would even want romantic love.

I will be sure to report back as the year unfolds. Thank you again, very very much!
