Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew, born second in line to the British throne, today returned his royal patronages at the request of Queen Elizabeth II due to allegations of sexual abuse in connection with his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew was born February 19, 1960, 3:30 PM GMT, London, England. When I first told Anna-Kria King around 1975 that Charles probably would never sit long on the British throne, she asked me about Andrew's chart. I looked and noted that, like Charles, he doesn't have an angular Jupiter. In fact, his Jupiter, though dignified in Sagittarius (perhaps showing the nature of his upbringing) and closely sextile Sun is in the immediate background. I said his chart, for this question, is worse than Charles'.

Andrew has a perfectly decent chart - provided one is not born into the royal family. Because that's exactly where he was born, he lives under different rules. As an Aquarius-Scorpio with Uranus rising and a background Jupiter, it isn't natural for him to follow decorum and be well behaved. (Sun is in Aquarius in close opposition to Pluto.) The dignity he has comes from training; it isn't innate. There's no question he has unusually strong sexual urges, given his Scorpio Moon sextile a nearly partile Venus-Mars conjunction in Capricorn. His Sun might be called anti-royal, being in its detriment with its strongest aspects to Saturn and Neptune (but comparably strongly aspecting Jupiter also).

In fact, his planetary dignity count (often a significant measurement in the House of Windsor) has Sun and Moon debilited, Mars and Jupiter dignified.

Of interest, his angles are nearly identical to those of his brother, Charles. Charles and Andrews Midheavens are 20° and 29° Pisces; their Ascendants 12° and 18° Cancer.

At present, Andrew's outermost transit is Uranus opposite his Neptune, soon to square his Ascendant again. This has a tendency to disclose things kept secret and breakup old patterns but, by itself, is not likely to do much.

The big deal, though, is that transiting Saturn is in the exact degree of his Descendant. This lowered the boom on him, leading to an American court authorizing the legal action and the queen, in response, recalling his ranks and privileges - "de-royaling" him, as some call it.

That's a bad aspect.

Progressed Venus squares his Saturn: Surely there are affections he is being denied at the moment. Solar arc Saturn is on his Mercury. Yet, more importantly, his solar arc Jupiter is mere minutes from his Sun.

His solunars, though, suggest to me that these aren't terrible conditions at the moment. I'll let you check his current SSR, which is pretty good, and his current SLR, which is poignant but not necessarily bad. - Where I want to draw attention is to the Demi-SLR that occurred yesterday with transiting Jupiter conjunct natal Sun and, more widely, opposed his natal Pluto. These are all quite angular! - And don't miss the degree of Regulus on Asc!

5°15' Leo - DSLR Asc
5°49' Aqu - r Sun
7v55' Aqu - t Jupiter

The real test, though, is his upcoming (mid-February) new SSR. Presuming he stays near London for it, the chart is quite dramatic and threatens his freedom. The three most angular planets are transiting Mars (0°04' from Dsc), natal Mercury (0°15' off MF), and natal Saturn (1°30' off Dsc). Transiting Mars conjoins natal Saturn 1°26' mundo within a degree and a half of an angle; nor is this the only mix of malefics, since Neptune squares natal Mars within a degree. Here are the numerous aspects that are foreground and close:

Finally, if we consider Andrew's Novien we get outright indications of a great fall and loss of dignity occurring in his life (or, from character's perspective, withdrawal, disruption, and having to struggle for his survival - not what one would expect from his birth station).

5°49' Aqu - r Sun
6°44' Aqu - N Saturn
7°35' Sco - N Pluto
10°51' Leo - r Pluto
11°45' Sco - N Moon

Put this together with his upcoming SSR-----ouch! This recent incident for Andrew speaks loudly about destiny unfolding with his Novien aspects---possibly timed with his next SSR. "Character is Destiny". I do beleive Fagan got it right---the Novien (9th) is a prophetic tool. And Jim, FWIW, I do beleive your post about the 9th involved with 0 Cap in the Sidereal Z nailed it for me WHY the Cap Ingress is such a prophetic tool. Again your words about the 9th with O Cap---absolutely stunned me. I wish Fagan/Bradley were here to discuss this matter with us even though it may always remain a most speculative matter. :)
