Two police offices were killed in an ambush near Des Moines, IA shortly after 1:00 AM today. (I'll use 1:15 as a working time.)

The October 29 LIBLUNAR is the main chart for this: In addition to a non-angular Moon-Mars-Uranus T-square, universal to all locations (surprise attack, etc.), we have Saturn 0°09' from Asc, Venus 1°58' from Asc, Venus conjunct Uranus (0°24'), and the Moon-Mars square closer for Iowa in mundo than for the rest of the world (0°38').

For the DAY, the CapQ only has t. Mercury sq. Asc (0°09'). Mercury is quite rare for shootings unless they are tactical, military-style attacks, as this one appears to have been. (It also shows the news cameras pointing at Des Moines for the day.) The CanQ has t. Pluto on Descendant < 2° for the shock etc. Backdrop/setup comes compliments of transiting Neptune square Cansolar MC (1°10').

But that Liblunar is the prize chart.

The only thing this resembles is a violent assault on the nation, with particular focus on the government, especially in the person of the head of state. In my prediction this month, I mentioned that these indications, in other countries, would make us expect a coup d'etat. I perhaps shouldn't have excluded our own country in that possibility.

The one true puzzle to me is the lack of Moon. By all evidence, this was a populist revolt. For this, the Uranus and Pluto are fine on angles and to Moon, but angular Moon itself would be expected. We didn't get Moon. Instead, there is a great deal of Sun.

IMO, any further damage to the nation will come with what you and I have discussed with Libsolar and lunars in Dec. However, once we make it to the 2017 Capsolar, I see no serious damage coming to the nation as a whole in 2017. But I do see serious troubles for Trump in 2017, first pointed out with Bowers's link writing about Trump's cycles to his lights in 2017.

A series of earthquakes struck New Zealand (both islands) over the weekend, varying in intensity according to location. The largest I can find is a 6.5m quake near Kaikoura. (I think there must be an earlier one that has flowed off the data feed I consulted.) Two deaths are reported from the whole.

Perhaps a few specific examples can give us more of a handle on the astrological signature of racism?

The director of the Clay Development Corporation, one Pamela Ramsey Taylor, of Bickmore, WV, posted a very nasty comment about Mrs. Obama on Facebook on Wednesday, the 9th of November, time unknown, probably early in the working day. The mayor of the village, Beverly Whaling, followed up with "Made my day, Pam."

Ms. Taylor has been removed from her job, issued an "apology" claiming response to this incident has "turned into a hate crime against" her. I gather she's received death threats.

The town council had a meeting already planned for tonight, and plans to discuss whether the mayor will be asked to step down.

A train derailment in India killed over 140 people, and injured about 160 more. It occurred November 20, 2016, about 3:10 AM (21:40 UT) near Kanpur in the Uttar Pradesh area; specifically, at 26N13'48", 79E51'00".

The solar ingresses are not helpful at all, and the Caplunar is nearly the antithesis of what we want. Only in the daily indicators do we start to get appropriate indicators and, as with so many transportation accidents, we have an exactly (here doubled) of "driving under a Mars line" when the accident occurs. Only a single sheet of the stack shows us anything, but it shows exactly the right thing!

Sunday, individual police officers were shot and killed, one in San Antonio, TX and one in St. Louis, MO. I thought these things happened relatively frequently around the country and are almost not news, but the media is reporting that these events "rocked" the cities involved.

In San Antonio, the Caplunar's Moon-Mars conjunction sets, with Pluto on the other side of Descendant, but the leader is Jupiter, 0°58' from IC. Yes to the violence, but we might have expected something else - at least deflection from the first week of the month (which occurred). With Canlunar dormant, the Arilunar prevails, and places Mars closely rising in partile mundane square to Sun at MC - a perfect description of "violence against The Man." CapQ MC then crept within the 2° orb of conjunct ingress Mars.

In St. Louis, the Caplunar has Uranus at MC within about 1°, and the Moon-Mars conjunction more widely foreground and square Jupiter. The Canlunar is not dormant - Mercury is precisely at MC, square Neptune within a few minutes (which is a better indication of the "rocked the community" or "What happens now?" state of mind). After that, the two cities' patterns aren't the same at all, though they produce the same results: CapQ EP conjoins transiting Mars, for instance, instead of its MC conjoining ingress Mars.

There were four officers shot on Sunday.
-San Antonio, TX - officer killed in ambush
– Sanibel, FL - officer recovering after being shot in an ambush
– St. Louis, MO - officer in hospital shot in ambush from moving car, suspect killed in car chase and shootout
– Gladstone, MO - officer shot twice in head in ambush, assailant killed by another officer

All but the Florida shooting are on or close to the Mars Asc line from the arilunar. The San Antonio shooting is near both the Mars Asc and Sun MC line. Florida non-fatal shooting isn't near any lines in the arilunar so that was something else.

A 6.9 magnitude quake occurred off the coast of the Fukushima region:
November 21, 2016, 20:59:49 UT, 37N23'31'', 141E24'11''.

Tsunami's 10 feet high were launched at Japan's mainland. Currently, no deaths or serious injuries are reported from the quake. (I originally saw this listed as a 7.3m quake, but I can't find an earlier one that might have been meant.)

Tonight the news has broken that Fidel Castro has died: 10:29 PM 11/25/2016 in Havana.

HAVANA'S CAPSOLAR has Uranus rising, squared by Pluto near MC. The LIBSOLAR has Mars a few minutes from square Ascendant, and, more broadly, a foreground mundane Mars-Pluto conjunction square a Sun-Uranus opposition.

The CAPLUNAR has a partile Moon-Mars conjunction with Moon exactly on Westpoint, and both of them foreground, square Uranus mundanely.

The CANLUNAR has Saturn on MC (1°30') and Neptune rising (0°47'). They are in mundane square (0°43').

Signals are mixed for the day. Transiting Jupiter is in orb of Capsolar Descendant; transiting Saturn conjoins Cansolar Midheaven.

In South Korea, weekly protests have been calling for the resignation of President Park Geun-hye. with accusations of scandalous behavior - financial and otherwise. Impeachment efforts have warmed up (which would be a first for the country). She is rightly called besieged.

The capitals of North and South Korea aren't far apart, so things we have seen in the North's charts will resemble what we see in the south. The first thing to bubble up from this is the Capsolar with Mars rising.

With the Libsolar dormant, we look back to the Cansolar for this quarter. Moon squares Jupiter universally. For Seoul, Pluto is on IC (0°11'), and the Sun is barely foreground (squared by Uranus, which is not foreground).

Yesterday's protests were the largest yet, and have turned into a party-like street fair with vendors and decorations. The new Liblunar has Neptune exactly on IC (1°22') and a widely foreground Sun.

General populist activism and rebellion is expected around the world right now, because we are still under Uranus' transit to CapQ Moon, exact around December 6, and lasting until Christmas. For Seoul, this is intensified by Pluto's transiting conjunction with Cansolar IC.

No time to look carefully, but I remember predicting violence in Ohio for the Caplunar - I thought it would be the election. And the Canlunar has Saturn through Ohio (going by the maps I posted). If nothing is there in the Liblunar, both of these porevail.

A plane carrying 81 people (primarily a Brazilian soccer team plus 20 journalists) has crashed in Colombia. 75 died. The plane called in an unspecified emergency situation soon before crash.

The crash occurred Monday night, November 28, 2016, about 10 PM, between La Ceja and La Union just outside Medellin, specifically at 05N58'48'', 075°W25'06''.

And look at that Libsolar! The daily indicators don't help much, but the Bridge did narrow the vulnerable zone to about a week, and the daily indicators threw in some Mercury. As usual, we have something from the solars, something from the lunars, and something from the dailies.

I'm not sure when these began, but severe wildfires called "historic" are continuing to burn in Tennessee. Gatlinburg is apparently the center.

Gatlinburg has the Libsolar Mars-Pluto conjunction exactly square Ascendant, concentrating one of the worst parts of this horrendous Libsolar. The November 5 Caplunar not only has Moon conjunct Mars everywhere, but has Mars 0°01' from square MC for the heart of Gatlinburg. The current Liblunar is dormant (though with Sun and Mars most angular). The persisting Canlunar has Neptune on EP, partile square Mercury, and mundanely square Saturn near MC. It's nasty.

Uranus conjoins Capsolar Ascendant for a few weeks. Transiting Neptune is minutes from Cansolar Ascendant, and Saturn exactly today conjoins Cansolar MC.

The actual original fires have been burning in the Great Smoky Forrest (a national park) for well over a week. Because of the drought, there's been no way to put them out. It's very rough territory in the mountains. Yesterday afternoon, winds picked up and blew the flames outside the park. The winds continued and the fire grew very fast. At noon there was nothing. By three, things were going south fast, by four, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency was asking people to stay off mobile devices so as not the clog the phone system, and the evacuation orders for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were issued a few minutes before 6:25 PM.

It rained overnight. Turned to steam and made things worse.

Three people are known dead so far. People trying to evacuate were running out of gas because the gas stations were on fire. Always keep your tank half full.

I have a cousin who lives in the mountains outside Pigeon Forge. 3 days ago, I started e-mailing him with no reply by mail or home phone. I am sure he and his wife had to evacuate by the news reports I am seeing.
