Relocation

Hi Jim,
It is often mentioned that one doesn't lose the natal chart.
I am just curious, does this mean one keeps the closest natal angularity too wherever one goes?
Jupiter is slightly more angular then Saturn where I was born.
I am thinking of moving within the country in a few years. Towards the East my Saturn gest very pronounced whilst Jupiter fades.
Does it matter? I mean, if one never loses the natal, will my natal Jupiter always be the most in charge even when Saturn is much closer locally?
Jupiter gets more closer on the coastline towards Alkmaar and Den Helder but moving there is not an option as sea level may rise sooner then we think.
The options I then have are around Zutphen or Deventer. Or even Zwolle.
Would love to have your advice.
Regards, Flo

I'm headed out of town and away from a computer, so can't check the locals.

6es, I believe one never loses the natal. I have begun to think one loses birthplace mundane aspects - they're highly localized.

It's possible, though, that the natal "sticks" in our character because we have so many years to become accustomed to it, develop habits and behaviors, etc. I wish we had more case histories of people who moved within days of birth and never again lived full time at the birthplace I think Sidney Poitier fits that description, but I'd like to see more.

If you relocate to a CLOSE Saturn, you'll feel it. Perhaps you'll be living more austerly? But if your Jupiter is stronger where you have lived your whole life, I do think you'll be Jupiter-dominant regardless.

Flo, I had a chance to look more closely at this today.

For the three cities you mentioned, your Saturn moves within about 3 degrees of Asc (especially Zutphen). I think you would feel this pretty strongly. It's not that you loose Jupiter, but than you gain Saturn in the immediate foreground. Since your Saturn so closely opposes Mars, I think you would feel this quite closely.

If you were moving when young, to do a lot of work and discipline, that night be strengthening. I think, though, that you might feel it rather severely. I don't want to encourage you to falls or other hardship.

Thank you very much Jim for having a close look.
I think I'd better not move then towards the eastern part again. I did spent my childhood there and it sure felt 'heavy'. Then when growing older you'd think that was then and life must be better there now as we grow older.
I am afraid it won't be so. The towns are beautiful though as well as the countryside in the area.
Unfortunately I think there is no other benefic line and will have to move abroad for a close angular Jupiter in the UK or Western France or perhaps Portugal with Sun angular in the North. Not sure about that, will see. :?

I know you love where you live so you should find somewhere equally lovely.

It's too bad eastern France has Saturn and Mars lines for you. That would be an area I'd favor but, for example, you have Saturn exactly rising through Dijon.

Jupiter is in England, such as Birmingham. Does the climate agree with you? (England doesn't seem to be doing so well these days.)

Sun through western Spain (*or, as you say, even Portugal) sounds wonderful (and sunny!).

I don't recommend Barcelona or the east-central Spain-France border where Saturn and Neptune intersect (shudder).

I've come to realize that one consequence of aging is that one perhaps doesn't want to take as much of a chance with adverse astrological patterns. When younger, an angular Saturn return was just, "Oh, a harder year. Oh, well, there will be plenty of others, I'm strong, I have plenty of time to recover financially, etc." With age, one doesn't want to need "time to recover," so this amplifies the hardship. "Picking the chart you want" is a much bigger thing."

Hey Flo! Why don't you visit northern Portugal, maybe around Porto area ... and also check out Sweden for good vibes and maybe you'd even like Iceland with your Mercury-Venus aspect prominent. ;)

Thanks Arena, so nice of you.
I will look into all these lovely possibilities for the future.

Exactly Jim. Thank you so much.
I am not taking this lightly, you are right.

And like relocating an SSR this is great fun to find out too.
I am not sure it will happen as my partner's relocated chart in those areas is not the best, we will see.
