Saudi Arabia vs. Iran

Yesterday, Saudi Arabia broke off diplomatic relations with Iran in response to an attack of protestors on the Saudi embassy in Tehran (following the Saudi execution of a Shiite cleric). To put this differently: The effective world capital of Sunnis and the effective world capital of Shiites have severed diplomatic relations.

Riyadh
The Capsolar has been tense - Jupiter and Saturn both exactly angular but also with the Mercury-Venus conjunction in the wide foreground. Not the sort of year when one would go un-diplomatic. (Moon-Jupiter square is also angular.) The other solar ingresses haven't done much.

But yesterday's Liblunar pushed hard:
Moon 0°20' from Dsc
Mars 3°03' from Dsc
-- Moon-Mars conj (2°43')
Sun and Pluto in the upper foreground square Uranus rising
(Since Mercury isn't foreground, the partile Mercury-Mars square may not "count.")

Strangely, Venus was transiting the Capsolar Descendant yesterday; but Mars was crossing the Cansolar Descendant.

Tehran
The December 14 Caplunar has Uranus tightly on IC and opposite a foreground Mars at Midheaven. Sun is also foreground.

Yesterday's Liblunar has Moon square MC, with Moon and Mars foreground (mundane conjunction < 2°).

Yesterday's CapQ had transiting Venus exactly on Descendant, square CapQ Mars-Neptune. The CanQ had MC triggering the Cansolar Mars-Pluto opposition, which is also being triggered over the next few days by transiting Sun. Transiting Mars is crossing a Cansolar angle as well.

So... this is indeed volatile. Too early in the morning for me to have a well thought out reaction to it. Wanted to get the chart stuff in place here.

While on my commute...

As usually happens, the Week chart and daily indicators are the main factors. The Liblunar is volatile & aggressive on both sides, and the Q's are very threatening. But I wouldn't worry about the Q's so much (they could just be passing news) if there wasn't a Bridge level trigger that puts this event in the Potential Big Event category. That trigger is Mars' transit across a solar ingress (Cansolar) angle for both locations - Descendant for Riyadh, Westpoint for Tehran.
