Hurricane Katrina (Mississippi) [Hurricane]

Mississippi's worst natural disaster ever was Hurricane Katrina. I've already studied this in SMA in terms of its more famous impact of New Orleans. For the present project, I want to compare that to charts for its landfall in Mississippi. In contrast to Louisiana, every Mississippi county was declared a disaster area.

New Orleans had been hit approximately 7 AM. Its first Louisiana landfall occurred 6:10 AM CDT, in Buras-Triumph, LA, and it hit New Orleans about an hour later.
August 29, 2005 was most destructive day, with 238 deaths, 67 people missing, and billions of dollars of damage. Landfall for tis occurred near Pearlington, MS (near the LA-MS border) about 10:00 AM CDT, beginning Katrina's "two-day path of destruction through central Mississippi." The "hurricane force winds" that had reached MS by 2:00 AM that day, lasted 17 hours, spawned 11 tornadoes in MS (51 in other states).
So: August 29, 2005, 10:00 AM CST, Pearlington, MS. (Nearly identical to New Orleans, it turns out.)
