Solunars by Aldebaran Sidereal Academy

Halfway through it and it seemed enough time to review it meaningfully. Bottom line: It's strikingly accurate. I personally find Solar Returns to be very descriptive and telling (I think they tell a story really well) in general, and this one is a particularly good example of that. This is what we're working with:

The closest angular planet is natal Venus. Great hit: I have exhibited more Venusian behavior these past six months than for most of my life previously. People have commented on it. I recall a remark along the lines of "look at how affectionate he's being" made about me less than two months ago, within a group I first met a few weeks before the SSR set up. From this group (colleagues) I made friends with some real closeness for the first time in at least four years, and perhaps in as long as six years. I also reconnected with a couple of past friendships that still existed but have long had a strong element of distance to them, including, and perhaps especially, physical distance. On the other hand, there was one friendship that I didn't reconnect with in the same way, and I was actually led to question and reconsider the closeness and depth of that relationship, which involved some negative feelings. Therein we can also consider the natal Saturn, the second most angular planet in the SSR, whose midpoint with Venus is on the Descendant (in mundo).

Venus/Saturn is perhaps an even better descriptor of this period, since it definitely involved limitations in affection, questioning how far I could and would go in any given relationship, and in relationships in general. I've also seriously thought about "settling down" in a committed relationship, which, in general, hasn't really been my desire. And I've been more work-driven. (It may or may not be surprising to some, but that too has not been my thing for most of my life.) This is the last of a series of SSRs with natal Saturn foreground, and that has been very descriptive of this part of my life, but the flavor is different this time.

I did have natal Venus strongly highlighted in my 2019 SSR, but it wasn't simple. Take a look if so inclined. (Calculated for home.) The most that can be said was that the year was leisurely and permeated with pleasantness, but it wasn't streamlined, so to speak, like this one. More asocial than usual, in fact.

Then there are the Moon aspects to natal Mars and Pluto. (Add Sun, perhaps.) Descriptive of my temperament during these months without detracting from the Venus. Now that I think about it, some of the stuff I've attributed to Saturn could be also the Pluto. And yes, I've been more aggressive, competitive, and belligerent than usual.

The remaining factors are secondary (so far, at least), but fitting.

From looking at my past ten or so Demi-SSRs, I don't expect much if anything from them, but I've never watched one while it's operative, so for what it's worth, here's the one that set up yesterday:

Patrick, FWIW, I notice your partile Natal Venus-Jupiter 90 in about 2.8 years will form a potent Solar Arc Direction where d Natal Jupiter will exact conjunct your Natal ASC & d Natal Venus will exact conjunct Natal Nadir. This is a once in lifetime hit and with high % will mark the time in your life for very benefic happenings. Start playing the lottery when this Direction goes partile.

Also Patrick, note your next SSR, if in Porto Alegre, you set-up with an "outstanding incident" with SSR Jupiter tight conjunct SSR IC partile conjunct Natal Venus and partile 90 Natal Jupiter. Some damn good synchronicity going on here when your Solar Arc Natal Venus-Jupiter will begin in your 2023 solar year its partile angular hit. Keep us informed.

Yes, I'm really looking forward to that one. I wouldn't count the natal Jupiter as part of the "outstanding" configuration, though, since its angularity is quite wide. Still a stunning SSR.

Patrick, FWIW, you have a dominating aspect in your Natal with your partile Mercury-Uranus conjunction partile 90 Natal MC. For sure this aspect plays a big role with your interest in astrology. Here are the tones for this combo from Ebertin’s COSI:

A person with the ability to correctly grasp all connective links and relationships and draw logical conclusions from such knowledge. An inventor, mathematician, physicist or cosmobiologist. The ability to think about a particular matter acutely and keenly and to act swiftly.

Your natal Me-Ur is partile 60 Natal Pluto for more potency (Pluto) with all the above worded tones from Ebertin. I am curious how you came about discovering Jim’s solunars forum? You are going to become an excellent Sidereal Astrologer for your goals and objectives in your life.

Also, outside of partile orb, but still within Class 1, Moon conjoins it. Then, Neptune conjoins it more widely. Lastly, Eris closely squares the Mercury-Uranus-Neptune tail end in mundo. It's quite a handful.

Thanks Patrick. What kind of astrological organazations are happening in Brazil today? Are there in Cosmobiological (Hamburg School) organazations happening in Brazil?

Unsurprisingly, I haven't looked much into that. I didn't have a serious interest in any sort of astrology before learning about Sidereal Astrology, and as stated above, that was quite early on, so I'm a Siderealist through and through. Almost all I see around here is the popular, Tropical stuff. But for what it's worth, the Brazilian astrological organization that seems to be "the biggest deal" (from a cursory search and how it presents itself) does include Ebertin in its suggested reading list.

A few more remarks as this chart nears its conclusion. It has two "overwhelmingly close" (within 5') non-foreground aspects: transiting Mercury conjunct natal Moon (background) and transiting Venus conjunct Mars (middleground). I can't argue with the first one—I even think this year featured more frequent insomnia—and didn't see much of the second one. What's more, Venus and Mars are both within 30' of sesquisquare solar Moon. I estimate that these minor aspects to solar Moon weren't important. The others (major within 3°), of course, were.

A Venus and Saturn period through and through much as I previously described, with Venus winning out just barely, as indicated by their angularities. On balance, a year more benefic than malefic. In that regard, the Moon-Jupiter opposition (mundane only) shouldn't be overlooked among the complex mix (which, by mere counting, has malefic factors winning out).

The Demi-SSR may have too much going on to be assessed usefully. Best I can tell, it didn't grossly contradict the period, yet it seems a tad too heavy, and in any case the full SSR was a better descriptor of the second half of the year.

Thanks. - I've definitely been ambivalent about octiles to SSR Moon, tending mostly to say I can't confirm there is anything going on (and then along comes a chart which would be a little easier to understand if there WERE something going on; but it's hard to say those are ever necessary.
