For these questions in general (and other related questions you may have), I suggest you read this summary of Sidereal astrology:

Do Astrological Aspects have the same meaning in Tropical and Sidereal birth charts?
More or less, with some clear exceptions. The main similarity is that the essential nature of each pair of planetary energies is more or less the same from astrologer to astrologer, including between Tropical and Sidereal astrologers.
The important difference, though, is that most Tropical astrologers (not all) make strong differences between each type of aspect, including thinking oppositions and squares difficult (obstruction or conflict) vs. trines and sextiles "good" (lucky or harmonious). We reject this idea. (See the summary in the first link above.)
Do Astrological Houses have the same meaning in Tropical and Sidereal birth charts?
This is a complex question. The simple answer is that Sidereal astrology often relies very little on houses, many of us thinking they may not exist at all. To the extent that a Sidereal astrologer gives credence to houses, the interpretations are generally about the same as a Tropical astrologer would say (no more different than it might be between two Tropical astrologers).
Does a Sidereal birth chart have equal Houses?
No, you might be confusing Sidereal astrology with Hindu astrology. Most Sidereal astrologers draw charts in the Campanus house system.
The issue of houses is ultimately independent of the issue of zodiacs.
Again, the first link above may help you the most with these questions, but feel free to ask more.

Thanks.
I have read The New Instant Astrologer by you, Western Sidereal Astrology for Beginners, by John Savadese.
I am currently reading An Introduction to Western Sidereal Astrology, by Kenneth Bowser.
I will soon be reading Primer of Sidereal Astrology, by Cyril Fagan, Everything Changes, by Trudy Pellegrino.
I previously had a very meagre background in Tropical Astrology. I have a lot to investigate RE: Sidereal Astrology.

Those are all good books. (I don't know the Pellegrino book.)
The New Instant Astrologer succeeded, I think, primarily because it existed at all, and because it gave a baseline of simple, direct interpretation. I have criticisms of it, and the interpretations long ago needed updating - To a great extent, this site came into being as a place to publicly, gradually rewrite those things and, secondarily, to give gradually improving presentations of the core topics. That long process is nearly complete.
So, I think it will guide you well in terms of basic information. I recommend you substitute the interpretations currently on this site. For convenience, you may want to grab a free copy of my small book.

My tropical natal horoscope has the sun at one degree Aries.
My sidereal natal horoscope has the sun at seven degrees Pisces with no aspects.
I don't have the temper of a fire sign, but I have the impulsiveness of an Aries.
My sidereal natal horoscope does have Mars conjunct my Ascendant by two degrees in Scorpio.
Could that lead to some fire sign-like traits?
