Oregon's worst natural disaster (and the second deadliest flash flood in U.S. history) was the Heppner Flash Flood.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heppner_Flood_of_1903
On June 14, 1903, much of Heppner, OR was destroyed, and 247 died (almost 1/4 of Heppner's population). Property damage was over $600,000.
Powerful thunderstorms with "torrential rain and hail," began falling on the area by 4:30 PM. Within 15 minutes (i.e., by 4:45), "water rushed down the streams... towards Heppner." Waters "finally receded around an hour later." About one-third of Heppner had been "washed away," including 140 homes and other buildings. The town took decades to recover.
I will use June 14, 1903, 4:45 PM, Heppner, OR.
