Demi Solar Return question

On the whole, when a solar return for a specific year shows a "good" year with no malefics in the foreground (they are background) and with positive aspects of promising a good year as well as to natal planets how should one then translate the demi solar return halfway that year with a close partile aspect of Mars and Saturn conjunct the ascendant? I have read over and over again that the main SSR is the theme for the year and that the Demi SSR is to look for just the timing of the events. When this partile conjunction of Mars and Saturn comes up in the demi should it be ignored as there was no indication at all in the SSR or could in this case a Demi SSR stand on its own?
Thank you for your thoughts,
Florence

Your particular example is a common 'problem,' i.e., a common issue to be addressed.
When a Demi-SSR shows the same type of conditions as the SSR, then it is especially useful for timing events. It also reinforces the overall quality of the time.
But when a Demi-SSR shows a totally opposite quality from the SSR, then it isn't going to be chart marking the timing of the main SSR manifestation. It's going to be showing something else that is equally and simultaneously true. (Our lives are complicated like that, don't you think?) The Demi is weaker than the main SSR, though it tends to have a louder voice when it first emerges (and for the last half of the year in general). What I've noticed is that it acts like "static," interfering "noise on the line" that reduces the effect of the original SSR. It doesn't necessarily mean a bad period, but it does seem to take away some of the extra "good." It may also have a particular, distinctive manifestation of its own in the weeks immediately following its occurence.

Edit:Take that back, 2 charts, one last year, marked by Moon Pluto and Uranus
