Rahu in Capricorn in the 4th house

I wanted to ask if you have found if the Rahu positions in horoscopes are valid?

I ask because I have Rahu in Capricorn in the 4th house and Google says it makes the native constantly suffer in business, finances, and jobs, poverty stricken happens, unhappy always, unsatisfied, basically cursed.

It made me worry because I am having a hard time finding a good job even though I am almost done with my Master's and have good work experience. I declined a job offer over a month ago not knowing I'd have a hard time finding a comparable job later. Then I looked and saw these descriptions of my Rahu placement. Is it valid? Or are my current job/financial challenges just attributed to the Saturn transits I'm in right now? Should I be concerned about my Rahu placement? Google says due to this placement of Rahu I'll always be in these kinds of situations but I am educated and skilled, so it doesn't make sense that I'll always have issues with jobs and finances. It should be the other way around in the future with my education, skills and ambition. I refuse to accept that.

I haven't had that much experience with the Nodes, Steve should weigh in on this. But the interpretation you were given is unduly fatalistic, and truthfully sounds more like Ketu (the south node) than Rahu, unless the Rahu in forth delineation is picking up some Ketu in tenth elements, but then it's still too fatalistic, like much of Indian astrology. I would take it as no more than a warning to be careful in those areas of life, unless other chart elements reinforce the negativity.

I agree with Mike's thinking. I do use the Node with my Sidereal Astrology work but only in the interpretive sense from the German Cosmobiologists.

By Rahu, you mean Moon's North Node. By your subject line, I assume by "positions in horoscopes" you mean house position.

I haven't been able to confirm house positions of Moon's nodes to be important. Some astrologers I've known and respected regard Moon's two nodes as a permanent opposition you can guarantee any horoscope to have, so that there is a natural tension between the houses at either side. I can't confirm what they claim.

Houses, of course, are hard to validate in real experience in any case, and those of Moon's nodes have not seemed obvious. Nor do I think the Hindu fashion of judging the meanings of Rahu and Ketu are correct. The nodes, at most, seem to signify connections and associations (links or knots) we have in life.

FWIW, I have Rahu in the 4th house also, but in Sagittarius instead of Capricorn like you.

I'm certain this is not the case. If anything in your chart were to signify these traits, it would be simply that your Sun and Moon are both in Capricorn. To be clear: I'm not saying your Sun and Moon in Capricorn firmly predict these things. I'm saying those luminary placements overall indicate lives with greater physical hardship to overcome and a deeper emotional sense of tragedy. (You should read the full Sun and Moon in Capricorn interpretations for a more balanced perspective.) What you do with this greater sense of shadow or darkness is, of course, up to you. Other people with both Sun and Moon in Capricorn have included U.S. President McKinley, pivotal athletes Muhammed Ali and Jackie Robinson, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, accused terrorist and now outspoke college professor Angela Davis, psychologist and investigator of human shadow Havelock Ellis, occultist Augusta Foss Heindel, singer Roberta Flack, and archaeologist and Sidereal astrology pioneer Rupert Gleadow.

In fairness, even though I don't think this node placement means anything at all, I can add that the authority on Hindu astrology I most respect, James Braha, says (subject to other considerations ) that it means the following:
James Braha wrote:If Rahu is in the 4th house, the person feels a heartfelt desire for worldly power. Therefore, he is likely to get what he wants. Contentment, however, may be lacking because of the person’s constant desires. The person has some difficulties with his mother because she is intense, smothering, or domineering. She is also powerful. The person does well with farming or real estate, and he has a desire to care for his family. He is more concerned with the health and wellbeing of the earth and with others than his own fame and recognition. He views all people as his family and wants to nurture and care for them.

The person may be involved in a spiritual, metaphysical, or healing career due to Ketu’s position in the 10th house when Rahu occupies the 4th. Rahu or Ketu in angular houses cause many major changes throughout life. Life can go high up to the top, but also down to the bottom.

As someone with Rahu in 4th, I'll say that almost none of this fits me.
It made me worry because I am having a hard time finding a good job even though I am almost done with my Master's and have good work experience. No, I don't think so at all. But you do have a sense of struggle about your life. The solution, of course, is simply to struggle: Work hard, fight hard, keep going (like the people I mentioned above).
Or are my current job/financial challenges just attributed to the Saturn transits I'm in right now?
You have no Saturn transits right now. Saturn remains in Capricorn with your Sun and Moon but far past any of your planets. Jupiter transits suggest you're at a decision point about where you want work and prosperity to go over the next three years, and how you want to wrap up the last nine years (something pivotal happened to set this all in motion nine years ago).

I think I've mentioned before, this is the year you have a progressed Mars-Saturn conjunction. It was exact not long ago, and has about a year to go. This, again, emphasizes struggle, mostly changes you need to confront within yourself about attitudes of work, labor, effort, control, and survival.
...it doesn't make sense that I'll always have issues with jobs and finances. It should be the other way around in the future with my education, skills and ambition. I refuse to accept that.
Google is not always your friend.
