Johnstown flood [Flood]

On May 31, 1889, at 3:10 PM, near Johnstown, PA (specifically 40N20'25", 78W46'15"), a dam burst, following days of enormous rain, and flooded Johnstown and other nearby towns with 20 million tons of water over a 40 minute period, resulting in 2,209 deaths, the destruction of 1,600 homes, and $17 million in damages. (This is at about $450 million in 2016 dollars.) - There's a lot of Jupiter in these charts for the torrential rain, but it's mostly in the solar ingresses, and the whole effect tapers down from there in a not fully satisfying way - until the Cansolar daily methods.
This was "the largest loss of civilian life in the United States at the time," a title that lasted until the Galveston hurricane in 1900. It was "the worst flood to hit the U.S. in the 19th century."
At the time the dam burst, Uranus was exactly rising (plus-minus two minutes of time).
