October 11, 1138, time unknown, near Aleppo, Syria at 36N13, 37E10

Third deadliest earthquake in history. Death count was especially high in Aleppo. (The historic account of 230,000 is now considered a wrong combining of the death toll with other quakes in the year before.) No time is given, so I'm using noon.
Probably this was magnitude 7 and caused a tsunami. A smaller quake occurred the day before. The quake was bad enough, but started a "domino effect" on the economy and government described in the linked article above.
The Capsolar's climax for the day is awesome.
