USA Mundane Forecast §§§ The Biden Report §§§ Ingress Summaries §§§ Outer Planet Sign Transits

LONG-TERM (Solar Ingresses)
Capsolar effective Jan 15, 2023 to Jan 15, 2024.
The Capsolar (like the current Cansolar) is silent for Washington, with no distinctive effect on the U.S. as a whole besides the worldwide Moon-Pluto square (what else is new? we've had a several year run of the unbelievable being routine). The Libsolar continues for the next three months as the only operative solar ingress for the U.S. overall. However, the Capsolar does identify patterns in specific parts of the U.S. and the world:
https://solunars.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7027#p51199

Libsolar (Oct 18)
Effective Oct 18, 2022 to April 15, 2023. Because the Capsolar and Cansolar are both silent for Washington, the Libsolar takes on unusual importance and persists as the one solar ingress for the U.S. until the Arisolar replaces it mid-April. Now that the election is over and the new Congress settled in, what else can we see for its new quarter?

Even with more benefic than malefic symbolism, the new Libsolar's benefics are shaken and challenged. Pluto (0°08' from IC) is square a nearly partile Sun-Venus conjunction. Venus-Pluto is only 0°29' wide. We face unprecedented conditions, irrevocable shifts, rebellion against conditions, assaults on those in power, and disrespect for law. Solar figures are challenged and held accountable (which probably includes a recent past president).

The extraordinary and unanticipated continue to be the ordinary - week after week.

However, this seems the most benign (even happy) Libsolar in years with Sun-Venus so closely rising. By itself, Sun-Venus is common for events that resolve conflict and bring peace. Certainly, Venus issues will be at the forefront (which includes abortion rights); but one wonders also if this chart might forecast a peaceful resolution to existing conflict and threats.

The main feature of Venus square Pluto is an irrevocable change in relationships. While this anticipates social impact (as in matters of marriage and reproductive rights), between nations it refers to significant shifts in alliances and antipathies including such things as the starting or ending of a war. I am certain this will be its fundamental theme and stand hopeful that the predominantly peaceful tone of the chart will prevail.

MEDIUM-TERM (The Bridge)
A crisis in transportation, information, data security, or commerce (in short, things mercurial) can be expected to erupt during this period or early in the next month as the Cansolar's Mercury-Pluto opposition fully ripens. This came into 1° orb last September and is exact on March 10. Something has been building involving one of these primary themes, including the possibility of destabilizing news (causing plenty of jitters) coming out of the blue. - Major world-scope Mercury events since the progression began have involved Twitter, Ukrainian guerilla warfare against Russian transportation routes, ChatGPT and other AI tools erupting, and cryptocurrency meltdowns.

Pluto squares Capsolar Moon all month, interrupted by the volatile Mars square Cansolar Moon (worldwide) Feb 25 to Mar 2. These breakouts as follows:
  • START to 2/24: Pluto
  • 2/25 to 3/2: Pluto Mars
  • 3/3 to END: Pluto
Mars is in Taurus until March 14 when it enters Gemini (exactly square Neptune). Neptune enters Pisces March 14. Of possible interest, Saturn squares Sedna Feb 25. Summaries of longer-term trends from outer planet sign transits are here.

SHORT-TERM (Lunar Ingresses)
Caplunar (Feb 17)
Effective February 17 to March 17, especially the first week February 17-23. It's hard to anticipate the exact outcome of a month or week when the real outcome is that it's going to be a surprise!

This is a month of surprises! Most likely they will be good surprises in the sense that they are exciting, hold our attention, and excite (then eventually gratify) our curiosity. All this comes from Mercury square Midheaven 0°30' and Uranus square Ascendant 1°48'. Mercury-Uranus always means discovery in the sense of disclosures and things revealed to us. These things have the sense of the NEW and renewing, so often they involve science and technology wonders, though, or course, they could be more mundane political revelations.

Denver's longitude has Jupiter on Midheaven, so it probably has the best good news of the time (with eastern New Mexico getting a Moon-Jupiter intersection). This beneficence also applies to California's entire coastline, as Jupiter squares Ascendant its entire length, especially cutting right through the Bay Area. Uranus on MC, mostly off-coast, crosses near Boston and Portland, ME. Mercury stirs the most curiosity at the longitude of Baltimore.

Arilunar (Feb 23)
Effective Feb 23-Mar 3. This is a rough week: Worldwide, transiting Mars squares Cansolar Moon most of the week (Feb 25 to Mar 2) which, for the world as a whole, means some unified martial event like accelerations in the Ukraine war, or a lot of smaller events like shootings, fires, explosions, and destructive weather in the news everyday (here, there, and everywhere).

But for the U.S., that Mars is also on Arilunar Midheaven and (more closely) 0°41' from square Ascendant. For a week, the number of typical Mars events accelerates significantly and visibly in the U.S., with the most likely being fires and violence, with an increased tendency for things to break or suffer expensive damage.

Not visible in the displayed chart is a Mercury-Saturn conjunction in azimuth right on the prime vertical. Besides compounding problems with failing communications and logistical snafus, it suggests that mercurial channels such as roadways, transportation avenues, and communication systems themselves are in the middle of things.

Mars on Midheaven cuts exactly through Newark and, thus, near New York City (anywhere on that longitude). The Mars-Zenith line through Washington also shaves Virginia Beach and angles across eastern Pennsylvania and western New York. Saturn sets from the Texas gulf near Houston across the Plains states moving near Oklahoma City (for example): Several things are possible but harsh weather is most likely. (It also squares MC at the longitude of Des Moines.) The shared San Francisco-Portland-Seattle line gets Pluto, which should shake things up a bit.

Canlunar (Mar 3)
Effective Mar 3-10. This continues a difficult, struggling time, perhaps continuing to deal with last weeks events or perhaps something new.

Sun on IC puts a spotlight on Washington, our national government, and especially the president (or leadership perceived to be at the heart or hub of the country). Saturn closely square Ascendant says this attention isn't pleasant - that there is hardship, difficulty, loss (often a bad stock market week). Saturn conjoins Mercury>: The impact especially involves Mercury themes of transportation, communication, and commerce. Mercury-Saturn mundanely squares Uranus, so events are surprising, especially a revelation or disclosure and unnerves us. Moon conjoins Pluto again (mundane conjunction 2°), so we all have a bit of a "deer in the headlights" reaction to it.

None of the angularities are partile, so this probably isn't a giant event, but it's at least a tedious, unpleasant, "I want it to be over" week.

The roughest local conditions come from Saturn lines. Saturn is on IC near the Chicago-Milwaukee longitude, which extends down the Illinois-Indiana border, through western Kentucky and Tennessee, and along the Alabama-Mississippi border, affecting areas about 150 miles either side. Saturn also falls along the East Coast (as it does with Washington), crossing coastal North Carolina and Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey, passing exactly through NYC, and then moving through New England. While this may be just really bad weather or other effects of cold, the precision of it's New York City crossing especially draws attention.

Liblunar (Mar 10)
Effective Mar 10-23. If the Caplunar's exciting surprises of the month haven't popped out at us yet this month, they catch us this week. The main feature of the Liblunar is Uranus exactly on EP. There's not a lot to the chart except Uranus: surprises, a sense of novelty, and a feeling of renewal or liberation. (Saturn's angularity is too weak to stir much worry.)

There is a little bit more, though - more visible had I shown this chart as a mundoscope. Moon is mundanely opposite Venus 2° and square Pluto 1°. Although usually a dual Venus-Pluto influence shows local losses and stunning hurt, or uncomfortably rearranged foreign relations, this time is probably different: Venus is in her exact degree of exaltation. I expect, therefore, an unusually positive Venus-themed outcome, such as significant "no looking back" improvements in Venus matters or important alliances and forging or reaffirming positive foreign relations. Until a decade ago, these events usually would have involved same-sex marriage rights. Today, such Venus aspects have begun to center most visibly around reproductive rights and women's rights in general.

Moon and Venus cross the horizon on a swath across the Texas panhandle, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. The whole line of the Rockies is draped with benefics. A Uranus-Pluto intersection in central Alabama feels explosive (emotionally if not physically), while Pluto sits on that same Chicago-Milwaukee longitude that had Saturn the week before. Mars runs along the coastal Pacific northwest, beginning in northern California. Dozens of other local events spread across individual spots in the country this week, so take a look at astromaps of planet angularities for your own area at least.

The Biden Report

An interpretation of Pres. Biden's November 20, 2022 Sidereal Solar Return (SSR) was given here: https://www.solunars.com/viewtopic.php? ... 744#p49543

SIDEREAL LUNAR RETURN (Feb 24)
Effective Feb 23-Mar 24. This is perhaps the hardest, most demoralizing, dignity-challenging months for President Biden all year. I've shown it as a mundoscope, which captures better most of the important features: a Sun-Saturn conjunction just above Ascendant and Neptune just below. The only other foreground planets are Mars and Biden's natal Neptune. The only aspects are Sun conjunct Saturn and Mars square Saturn. Even the midpoints pile on, with the Sun/Neptune midpoint 0°46' from Ascendant in mundo.

Furthermore, transiting Saturn at 3°37' Aquarius is 0°00' from square Biden's natal Sun at 3°37' Scorpio.

So it's bad. (And the demi-lunar in two weeks is similarly bad, though it shows him fighting back.) The two greatest threats are to health and dignity. His physical well-being is of great concern under Sun and five malefics foreground, Sun-Saturn, and Mars-Saturn. (To be blunt: Presidents have died under such lunar returns.) These planets and aspects also have marked charts of leaders who have taken a tumble (or had their reputations and political futures badly bruised). More generally, the chart shows a mix of attack and great unhappiness, with a feeling of helplessness about the whole thing.

Saturn's exact square to natal Sun (which continues in orb for a while) places increasing burdens on his shoulders and - in the context of the other aspects - seems poised to take him down a peg, block his free ego-expression, challenge his leadership, and make him push harder for everything. On the positive side, this aspect usually summons greater inner strength to meet outer demands. He will need this: Both physical and psychological strengths are at low tide.

SIDEREAL DEMI-LUNAR RETURN (Mar 11)
Effective Mar 10-24. Though not as severe as the full lunar, this demi-lunar continues to be bad, though less acute. The outright attack seems over. Damage was done and he's still dealing with the damage. Focus shifts to disappointment and emotional loss (loss of something dear to his heart) plus a renewed energy for fighting back. He resembles a man buried under frightening fallen rubble pushing his way out from beneath the broken rocks and concrete.

Transiting Saturn exactly on IC still closely squares his Sun ecliptically (and his Mercury mundanely) but is even closer to square his Venus. This is the sense of disappointment, or loss becoming more personal. People aren't listening to him. His dignity is bruised and continuing to take lumps. He feels he has lost his friends.

But, with natal Sun, Venus, and Uranus closely angular along the EP-WP axis, the strongest forces of his natal chart are also strongest in this chart. He feels more himself, more "Biden being Biden." And Uranus' long opposition to his Mars is near the angles again, which over the last couple of years has let loose his fighting spirit.

So he's on his feet again. There's a big fight still ahead, but scrappin' Joe is back on his feet.

This is complete, though a day late. If anything fitting the Caplunar occurred in the last 24 hours, I don't get credit for it.

This Mars transit has been essentially the exact days of the coast-to-coast destructive weather.

This Jupiter has been rain primarily. At least we haven't had the truly destructive things of much of the rest of the country. - The areas marked as "best news" are the areas most saved from the severe cold and weather.
