Yesterday the Mother’s mate (a close friend) of mine called and asked me how much longer the depression was going to last for the Mother. He said the depression is so bad he feels she may have to go to the hospital for clinical help. The Mother’s AA birth data is: March 2nd 1959, 8:40 AM, Mobile, Alabama, 30N42, 88W03. Computing her current 2016 located (residence) to Gulf Shores, Alabama, 30N15, 87W42 SSR features:
SSR Moon 20,04 Scorpio
SSR Saturn 20,59 Scorpio
Natal Moon 23,27 Scorpio
My friend, who knows nothing about astrology realizes the foresight of a SSR, because I told him his 2015 SSR was one of the most malefic SSR’s I had ever witness. 3 months after his 2015 SSR, he called and told me the Mother’s Kid put a shotgun to my friend’s head and said he hated him. 2 months later the kid committed suicide. I told my friend yesterday, the Mother would not start getting over her acute depression until her next 2017 SSR, TIME has to elapse to put her 2016 SSR partile Moon-Saturn behind her. “Time heals all wounds,” and “Time wounds all heals.”
Note t. Saturn will form an exact cnj to her SSR Moon & Saturn later in her 2016 solar year. Also note: t. Saturn will exact cnj her Natal Moon.

Good (tragic) example of the SSR. Let me add a few more things...
TRANSITS: Transiting Neptune is conjoining her Sun. This alone can be depressing and, if someone already is in that state, it doesn't make it easy to claw one's way back out. The conjunction is partile right now. This aspect first came into orb April of this year, and will last until February 9, 201, with the final exact passes in October ;17 and January '18.
The "life-goal" at this point is ego-dissolution. Circumstances will wither and erode any keen, sharp, well-defined sense she has of who she is and where her life is going, i.e, "what she's all about." I suspect a lot of her self-concept was wrapped up in her son. Although conditions may change, and she will pull through this in layers most likely (not stay in "worst case" another two years), she will still be spending her time between now and spring 2018 "finding her way through the woods," wandering around inside or herself (and, to a limited extent, outside herself) to pull through this long ordeal.
NOTE: Before this transit, she had the same thing from a different channel, progressed Sun opposite natal and progressed Neptune. This aspect, at least, has just recently left orb, with the transit taking over the same function.
Uranus is currently conjoining her Eastpoint. This is encouraging - but, in the context of the Neptune transit and the SSR you cited, I don't think it's "breakthrough" yet. It's exciting because it brings an unmistakable sense of "things aren't the way they've always been," of something new. People around her should keep a keen eye for anything that captures her attention, touches her curiosity, looks like a new perspective or something new she wants to do with her life. -- One unfortunate detail about how we people tend to love each other is that there is a tendency to try to keep those we love "just the way they are," i.e., as the kind of people we've always known; and one of the hardest conditions to overcome in self-reinvention is the "drag back" by people around us who don't want us to change. But her "job" right now is to find a whole new concept for herself of who she is, and this means, as she succeeds, that she's going to look weird and strange to those around her who, perhaps unconsciously, may tend to drag her back to old definitions. They should be careful not to do that, but to encourage any new interests, new styles, new concepts about herself, however experimental and outlandish.
The goal isn't for her to "get back to normal," but to move forward and find a new "normal."
Uranus has already begun squaring her MC and crossing her EP. I'm most interested in the period when it begins to conjoin her Ascendant, which - voila! - begins in May of 2018, just as the Neptune transit ends for the last time. That will be the place where she breaks out of her past and shoots forward. This is a roughly three year passage of explosive new birth.
There is rough time ahead when Saturn makes its final passage square her Sun. It's exact in early October, with a few weeks in-and-out. She should be watched more carefully during this time (especially September 22 to October 18). She will probably be most welcome to company, even larger groups of relatives and friends, because Jupiter opposes her Venus about the same time.

SteveS wrote:Thanks Jim for your extra keen insight into this matter. I will pass it own to my friend and know it will help matters from a timing standpoint. It's been very rough for both of them for the last 3-4 years. My friend knew the kid would probably one day commit suicide and probably the Mother knew too. We can certainly see the symbolism for the Mother and how this tragic event is affecting her. My friend and I saw it coming and did all we knew to help the kid--but to no avail.

Again, "Timing is Everything," and in my 40 years of studying Astrology, Sidereal Astrology is the most knowledgable branch of Astrology I have ever studied. My mind was blown away when I realized with Sidereal Astrology that our live's experiences are written in the heavens with the true Sidereal Zodiac. The ancients understood this but that is another story.
