BINGO!!! Look at Pollock’s Moon-Mars cnj straddling his Asc.
Note the above bio quoted words: “action painting”-“The Moon Woman Cuts the Circle”—“passionate intensity,” and particularily the word “unconscious.”
Ebertin’s Principle for Moon-Mars:
Excitement, impulsiveness, expression of intense emotion. (Actions which are directed by the unconscious).
His Moon is “throned” and exalted at 2,03 Taurus!!! As Sidereal Astrologers we can clearly see how his passionate Mars manifested through his unconscious Moon on his Asc with his painting. Also note his Natal Uranus cnj MC offering par-excellent symbolism for his unique style of painting.
On 16 May 2013 Pollock's "Number 19" (1948) was sold by Christies for a reported $58,363,750.
Note his Venus-Pluto opp. Ebertin says about this combo:
"Fanatics in love or in art."
Later, I will try to isolate some events in his life using other techniques of Sidereal Astrology.

Events would be good. I don't trust this chart at all. As I recall, difficult labor started early morning, a lot happened, and the birth eventually came hours later - highly imprecise - and first breath was even delayed (it's the critical moment). So I'd guess we don't know the birth time to within, say, a four to six hour window (and I'm guessing).
But a rounded-off noon is as good a place to start as any.
For many years, I've hard a hard time remembering that Pollack's Sun is not in Aries. Whenever people ask me, that's what I come out with. Capricorn isn't that far off in some respects (a Mars-characterized Rim), but I imagine the Moon-Mars conjunction is at least this close if not closer - later in the day. (Or maybe this time is close and just a little early, and he has Mars even closer to the angle.)
Events are the way to tell. I'd start with events that let you test progressed natal and SSR Moon, and transits to "the four Moons" (natal, SSR, and their respective progressions). That wide-reach would give us more confidence on the actual hour, and we could narrow from there, perhaps.

At first I didn''t trust it either until I ran his last SLR for East Hampton Ny where he died Aug 11 1956, drunk in a car accident. It is a most striking SLR:

Can’t be a coincidence, T. Saturn partile 180 Natal Moon on the horizon of his last SLR--T-Square Pluto.

That's pretty good - although the transit itself is also sufficient. (It would tend to approximately confirm Moon's longitude, though, even for the transit).
