Everest avalanche

This might seem minor compared to some events, but it's a legitimate "historic worst."

On Friday, April 18, 2014, at 6:30 AM on Mt. Everest, part of a glacier gave way resulting in an avalanche that engulfed 30 sherpas. Of these, 16 died, 10 lived, four are still missing. NY Times called this the worst such single-day death toll in Everest's history.

And how often does one get to do a chart for Mt. Everest, eh?

I'll work it up when I get home next week.

The Capsolar was dormant. (Moon-Jupiter and Moon-Pluto aspects exist for the whole world.)

Year: Cansolar
Venus squares the MC 1°57' (or conjoins the MC 2°48'). Neptune is 7°49' from the IC. Not the most expressive chart for such an event.

Quarter: Arisolar
The Arisolar set up just a few days before the event. It features:

-- Mercury square Ascendant (0°12')
-- Uranus on IC (6°02')
-- Moon-Jupiter conjunction (0°39')

If we consult only the "Master Charts" we get:
-- Capsolar dormant. Cansolar is a poor chart. (The quarterly solar was needed in this case.)
-- Caplunar dormant. Immediate lunar ingress was adequate but not impressive
-- CapQ was accurate and descriptive
