If you calculate the Jan 28th CapQ’s for these two metro areas you will notice an accented Mars in B’ham & Atlanta, with CapQ Mars partile conjunct CapQ Asc for both B’ham & Atlanta. The worst gridlock problems were created in Atlanta which made National News, and T. Mars was also partile conjunct Atlanta’s Jan 28th CapQ East Point.

Jim, both Atlanta & Birmingham city officials/companies let everyone go home about noon. Within one hour it was complete gridlock on ALL highways in the metro areas. I suspect around 3:00 PM the motorists suspected they may not get to their final destinations by nightfall, and at nightfall they started to suspect they may have to spend the night in their cars. There was panic buying of heating gases/oils across the northern/eastern/southern nation because of panic demand with temps 30-40 below normal. In ALL retail outlets along this southern band of freak winter weather, there was no electric space heaters to be found because of the people who ran out of heating gases/oils for their homes. The Gov of Alabama declared a State of Emergency because of price gouging by heating suppliers. There were thousands of angry residents as well as motorists.
