Gretta Gerwig was born August 4, 1983 in Sacramento, CA. We don't know the time. She's in the limelight at the moment because of the enormous success of her first major studio big film, Barbie.

I've read a couple of recent interviews and, while doing so, kept thinking "She has to be a Cancer. She thinks like a Cancer. She's approaching this like a Cancer." OK, she's a Cancer. I'm not sure exactly what I was getting, but I recognized the feel of that style of storytelling. She's also keen on multi-generational impact.

She's a Cancer with a Taurus Moon. I think that fits Lady Bird and Little Women, and it probably fits Barbie, too. She would have to be born very early in the day for her Moon to conjoin Margot Robbie's Venus, so it may or may not be.

She has a stationary Venus (THAT squares Robbie's Venus) a few degrees from conjunct Mercury, with an exact Mercury-Uranus square. (In case it's relevant, she insists she isn't sure linear time exists.) Mars squares Pluto, while Jupiter is a few degrees from conjunct Uranus.

So, with her enormous success, what's going on?

Transiting Pluto exactly squares her Saturn (having recently squared her Pluto). Old stuff is broken up. Old hard rules fracture and have to be shaken off. Neptune squares her Neptune: Ne-Ne and Pl-Pl show a turning point in life (she's about to turn 40). Saturn is aspecting her natal Mercury-Uranus right now, so there is probably stuff we don't know about going on within her, behind the scenes.

But - the big one - transiting Jupiter is exactly square her Sun! She had her big weekend.

This all occurred in the last weeks of her SSR, about a week after her SLR.

But we don't have a time.

I'll stick with the "turning point in her life" angle: Progressed Moon, to the degree, opposes natal Moon right now. She's at a reassessment-prone half-phase. (Whatever time she was born, progressed Moon is opposite natal Moon.)
