Hiroshima flooding & landslides

Post by Jim Eshelman »

(8/21/2014)

Heavy rains (about 4"/hour) led to flash floods in Hiroshima, Japan, yesterday (August 20), resulting in landslides about 3:30 AM that killed at least 36 people. Floods are common in Japan, but this was an unusually high death toll.

Landslides are timed as 3:30 AM August 20.

The Arilunar is a rain chart and deadly: Moon is half a degree from IC, and Pluto is barely over 3° from Ascendant. Moon squares Pluto < 3°.

The CapQ had ingress and transiting Neptunes straddling the Nadir. Transiting Saturn is about half a degree from Capsolar WP. Transiting Mars is still (barely) within 2° of square Capsolar MC. All three malefics are transiting the Capsolar angles! (The Capsolar set the tone for the year with Neptune square Ascendant < 2°, plus a widely foreground Saturn.)

Remarkably, the CanQ also has Ascendant square ingress and transiting Neptune, and transiting Saturn a quarter degree from square CanQ MC!

Saturn and Neptune for deadly floods... we keep seeing it!
