In Kolkata, India, an overpass under construction collapsed killing at least 21 people. Number of injuries is not yet reported, but is expected to be large. More than a hundred are reported still missing as I type this.

The Prime Minister publically reacted to the matter at 3:39 AM (EST?), so the event was early. A witness said bolts "started coming out this morning and then the flyover came crashing down." The 3:39 AM time in EST would be 1:09 PM in India, so, with the morning report, I'm going to estimate 11 AM for practical purposes. EDIT: Data given below says 12:15 PM.

SUMMARY

I've been toying with radical idea over the last 6 months or so, and I've never mentioned it. I'm not sure about it. It's just an idea I've been toying with, I know how to create experiments for it, and I haven't done so. But this event is a fabulous example of what leads me to the thought.

It is this: Maybe... just maybe... the Capsolar (or Cansolar when acting as a yearly chart) is not, on its face, representative of anything. Maybe these Year charts are only templates for future transits and progressions.

Maybe.

In event after event after event, even if the Capsolar (or Cansolar acting as a substitute Year chart) shows an event, it seems the path to the event begins with the Bridge, not with the Capsolar. For example, in this year's Capsolar for Washington, maybe it isn't important at all that Uranus and Pluto are so angular but, instead, is important that Uranus and Pluto are transiting Capsolar angles for nearly all the year.

I say this even though Capsolars appear to be satisfactorily descriptive of a major event about 90% of the time (and even more often for events in the first quarter). But, admittedly, most of the time this is due to slow planets near angles that also transit those angles for significant parts of the year.

What if they are just transit and progression matrices?

Look at the present event: Both the Capsolar and Cansolar were dormant. However, the path to the event is through the Bridge - transits to the Cansolar angles, in this case - with Saturn transiting a Cansolar angle for almost four months, Jupiter joining it (thus the Jupiter-Saturn combination characteristic of structural collapses), and then Mars crossing another Cansolar angle to narrow the malefic and distinctive pattern to about a month, March 10 to April 12.

Next, the March 18 Canlunar puts Mars on Midheaven for two weeks (since the Liblunar is dormant). This narrows the window to March 18 to April 12. It doesn't necessarily narrow it even further because the next Caplunar, April 1 (still well within the event window), is even more malefic and equally distinctive. But the earlier chart, on March 18, triggered things first.

Finally, within that time, CapQ angles rotated so that transiting Neptune and two Saturns were on angles. That marked the day.

It's... something to think about.
