On November 24, 2014, at 8:25 PM, the grand jury report was released declining to indict Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson on any criminal charges for shooting and killing 18-year-old Michael Brown on August 9. Both peaceful and violent protests broke out almost instantly in Ferguson, and over the next few hours around the country.
Astrologers obviously were not consulted to help time the announcement, since it was released with Uranus (partile square Pluto) on the MC and Mars setting.
In Fergusson, CNN reports, "Shattered glass from looted stores covered the asphalt. Shell casings from unknown shooters littered the ground. And more than a dozen buildings, including stores owned by local residents had been set ablaze." Protestors "hurled bottles, batteries, and rocks at police." Automatic weapons fire was reported in the worst areas. The police used conservative anti-riot weapons. Most protestors reportedly were peaceful demonstrators, though enough fires were set that local and area firefighters couldn't respond to all of them at once (aside from the fact that they wouldn't go into some areas due to shooting threats). Many small business owners in Ferguson likely have found their stores destroyed this morning, and some have suggested Ferguson will not rebuild and will fade into a ghost town. So far, though, no serious injuries have been reported. The National Guard was deployed to Ferguson just after 1:00 AM the next morning.
This was a national level event, with riots, looting, arson and other violence exploding from coast to coast, but also peaceful protests. In Los Angeles, about 200 protestors shut down a major freeway and later congregated in large numbers at La Brea and Wilshire. Peaceful protests occurred in Washington, on Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House; in New York City's Union Square (about 200) and Times Square (about 1,000); and on the streets of Chicago, Denver, Oakland, Philadelphia, and Seattle.

Re: Ferguson, MO Grand Jury report
What I find most interesting is that the charts show this as much more clearly and emphatically a national event, rather than a local event. It certainly was an event for Ferguson, MO. The charts show that it was a bigger event for the U.S. as a whole. We can summarize the chart stacks:
WASHINGTON, DC
Year: Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto (Venus, Uranus). Moon-Jupiter-Pluto, Venus-Mars, Venus/Uranus, Mars/Pluto, Uranus-Pluto.
Half-year: (Dormant.) Moon square Mercury.
Quarter: Pluto (Uranus). Moon-Saturn, Uranus-Pluto.
Month: Jupiter (Sun, Venus). Sun-Venus.
Fortnight: Mars, Uranus (Pluto). Mars-Uranus-Pluto.
Week: Mars, Uranus, Pluto (Moon). Moon/Uranus, Moon-Pluto, Uranus-Pluto.
Day (Capsolar): Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune Moon-Sun, Jupiter-Saturn, Saturn/Neptune (CapQ). Uranus, Pluto, Uranus-Pluto (transits to Capsolar).
Day (CanQ): Moon, Mercury. Moon-Sun, Moon-Mercury, Moon-Pluto, Sun-Mars.
FERGUSON, MO
Year: (Dormant.) Moon-Jupiter-Pluto.
Half-year: Neptune. Moon-Mercury.
Quarter: Mars. Moon-Saturn.
Month: Moon, Venus (Sun). Sun-Venus.
Fortnight: Dormant.
Week: Dormant.
Day (CapQ): Jupiter, Saturn. Moon-Sun, Jupiter-Saturn.
Day (Cansolar): Uranus, Pluto, Moon-Pluto (CanQ). Venus (transits to Cansolar).
Summarizing them more tightly as a précis, we get in simplest terms:
WASHINGTON, DC
Solar: Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto (Venus, Uranus). Moon-Jupiter-Pluto, Venus-Mars, Venus/Uranus, Mars/Pluto, Uranus-Pluto.
Lunar: Mars, Uranus, Pluto (Moon). Moon/Uranus, Moon-Pluto, Uranus-Pluto.
Day: Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune. Moon-Sun, Jupiter-Saturn, Saturn/Neptune.
FERGUSON, MO
Solar: Mars. Moon-Saturn.
Lunar: Moon, Venus (Sun). Sun-Venus.

Re: Ferguson, MO Grand Jury report
(3/12/2015)
Shortly after midnight last night (I'm estimating 12:15 AM), two police offices were shot in Ferguson during a public protest. It seems the shots rang out about the time Neptune rotated to the IC. (And, of course, this was likely to be a volatile day simply because Mars exactly joined the Uranus-Pluto square in space. Pluto squares the Mars/Uranus midpoint within 0°02' at the approximate time of the shooting.)
Because the Capsolar is dormant for Ferguson, the area is still operating under last summer's Cansolar, which has Neptune setting closely. The Libsolar, which remains the solar ingress of the quarter (since the Capsolar is dormant) has Mars just right at 3° from IC and a Moon-Saturn square. That's the broader astrological context of what continues there.
The February 16 Caplunar is neutral but relevant: Moon is 1°19' from MC, consistent with public activism, mass mind movement, etc. Despite Justice Department actions and the resignations of critical city officials including the police chief and city manager, populism is in motion with this angular Moon.
The March 1 Canlunar has Mars 2°26' from Ascendant, as part of a Venus-Mars foreground conjunction (orb < 3°). Mars is stronger than Venus, so both peace and violence are afoot but violence is stronger. The aspect also means that passions are running high.
The Liblunar on March 8 then reiterated the populism signal: Moon is 2° above Ascendant as the primary indicator. We might have expected peace to prevail with the only other foreground planet being Venus, but it's somewhat wide from the angles, its affect strong but not overly strong. (I think peace primarily has prevailed.)
Notice, though, that every planet I've listed on this post is a planet of high emotion! Many kinds of emotion... but lots of it. Neptune, Neptune, Moon, Moon, Mars, Venus, Venus.
How about the day itself? The CapQ is definitely mixed, and quite active:
CapQ MC is
-- conj t. Moon 0°02' (at 12:15 AM)
-- conj t. Saturn (1°55')
-- conj s. Saturn (0°46')
-- at the Saturn/Saturn midpoint (0°35')
-- sq. p. Mars (0°31')
CapQ Asc is
-- conj p. Mercury (0°52')
-- conj p. Venus (0°09')
-- op. t. Jupiter (1°05')
CapQ EP is conj t. Mercury (0°30')
Similarly, the CanQ is very active and also mixed:
Can Q MC is
-- op p. Sun (1°18')
-- sq p. Mars (0°50')
CanQ Asc is
-- op s. Saturn (1°41')
-- sq t. Jupiter (1°12')
And, of course, CanQ Moon continues to be conjoined by t. Uranus (now back to 0°06' orb!) and squared by t. Pluto (0°05' on the other side - it's 0°00' from the midpoint of these aspects).
Finally, transiting Saturn has just snuck into 2° orb of Ferguson's Cansolar IC. It will be there for a while, but won't make the exact crossing soon: It's about to go retrograde. Watch for the date of the station.
