Born: March 26, 1930, 1:10 AM MST, El Paso, TX (AA)
Died: Today, December 1, 2023, at her home in Phoenix, AZ, age 93

The first female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Unlike some current trends, she was sane and judicious.

Her late husband had suffered from Alzheimer's for two decades. After his death, she began showing signs of dementia. Her death is attributed to complications related to advanced dementia and a respiratory illness.

In CSA (the medical astrology chapter) I observed the cases I had on hand of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia had an afflicted Mercury. O'Connor did not (unless you count Mercury conjunct Eris): In fact, she had a partile (albeit deeply background) Mercury-Jupiter mundane square.

Transits for her death: t Uranus oc r Sun 55', t Sun sq r Mars. Saturn has been near opposition to her Neptune, but not partile. (Perhaps it will fall on angles of relevant charts.)

Her solar arcs are simply "everything on itself" since p Sun is partile sq r Sun.

Presuming she was in Phoenix for her birthday (likely, since she was under caretaking), she had a wonderful final SSR in the spring, with Venus and Uranus foreground, Uranus square her Moon, and a Moon-Jupiter conjunction.

Her final SLR also wasn't bad. Natal Jupiter is 0°18' from Ascendant. Transiting Sun, Mercury, Mars, and Uranus are very close to angles (Mercury 0°09'). The foreground Sun-Mars conjunction is probably the most important. I suspect she wanted for nothing at the end.
