Manhattan explosion

In an already violent and explosive week, at 12:54 PM PDT, CNN broke the following story:
An explosion rocked a section of Manhattan's East Village on Thursday in what officials called a possible building collapse.

Images from the scene showed towering flames and plumes of black smoke rising from the building, which includes apartments and businesses. Reports of injuries are unknown, said fire department spokesman Frank Dwyer.
This must have just happened. Neither CNN nor NY Times has it on its web site yet. Tentative time, then, is a bit after 3:30 PM EDT.

The lunar ingresses are not expressive of this event, other than the broad effects of a Moon-Mars conjunction in the Arilunar. The lunars in general look benefic.

The Capsolar daily timing provides nothing. The CanQ, of course, has the Uranus and Pluto exact transits to CanQ Moon. Otherwise, the only timing we have is Mercury transiting the Cansolar Descendant to indicate such things as news coverage.

Based on these charts, my first impression is that there was no significant event.

Starting to show on CNN site, but not on NY Times site yet. Bullet points coming through are:

-- Began with explosion, cause unknown but suspected to be a gas explosion
-- Major fire in building (seven-alarm, at least 250 fire fighters)), apparently still burning
-- "Several" (at least a dozen) injured, and some may still be trapped inside.
-- No time yet given.

This is the sort of thing where I'd expect a lot of Mars and Uranus in the mix, Saturn on the side if deaths pile up, Neptune especially if it's causing panic in the streets. So far, I haven't seen any of that other than some isolated Uranus, and I've seen way too much from the benefics. Unless I screwed up the calculations, this seems a decisive failure of the techniques.

Update: I just found it on NY Times, where it says reports started coming in "shortly after 3 PM. I'll use 3:00 PM for the time.

Update: The blast was at 3:17 PM.

No casualties, 19 injured. One of the "lucky" ones? But lots of property damage.
