Marion wanted me to get a head start on planning whatever we're doing for my birthday next October. It looks like we're heading back to Denver.

There are two major transits in my 2024 SSR it would be nice to optimize: Uranus to my Venus and Jupiter to my Moon. However, the Jupiter transit to my Moon is on angles in NYC and New England areas that also have moderately foreground Saturn and Neptune. Uranus to Venus (which is actually Uranus to natal Venus-Pluto) seems a little more unstable but also a lot of fun. Then, looking at the arc across the astro map of Uranus on Zenith, I notice that it is crossed by transiting Venus pretty close at Denver.

Here is the chart break down for Denver. (Notice that SSR Moon will oppose SSR Mars, square natal Sun, and conjoin natal Mars before the year is over.)

With the two Venuses approximately the same distance from an angle (same side), there should be a place about half a degree east of Denver that has both Venses exactly angular. Unfortunately, we don't have a tool to map this automatically so it's a little tedious... but let's try (it should make a good example for other people).

Transiting Venus is 0°34' before IC in PVL and will be nearly the same in RA (which is the useful measurement). Calculating more carefully, RA of transiting Venus is 228°21' and RAIC is 227°47'. Increasing the RA IC 0°34' would make this exact. To increase RAMC or RAIC, we go east. Taking the Denver central longitude 104W59 and going 0°34' east gives a longitude of 104W25.

Testing for longitude 104W25 confirms the exact 0°00' of transiting Venus on IC. If I keep the Denver latitude stable (39N44), Ascendant comes to 1°44' Leo, putting my 1°53' Scorpio Venus only 0°09' before Zenith. Since we have a fixed longitude (104W25), I can use trial and error to get Ascendant to exactly 1°53' Leo.

Testing shows that going north increases Ascendant's longitude (and going south decreases it). We want Ascendant to increase 0°09'. Using TMSA to rapidly recalculate different latitudes, I find that 40N12 gives exactly 1°53' Leo rising. In fact, I get this longitude for 40N12, 40N13, and 40N14. My Venus being at 1°52'48" Scorpio, I want the early side of 1°53', so I'll pick 40N12.

So that's my ideal location: 104W25 40N12.

Using Google Maps, I go to 40°12' N, 104°25' W and find it is on the northeastern outskirts of Denver, a bit north of Hwy 76 near the little towns of Tampa and Roggen. Tampa has transiting Venus 0°02' before IC, natal Venus 0°03' before Nadir. Roggen has transiting Venus 0°03' past IC, natal Venus 0°01' past Nadir. Halfway between them seems about right.

Unfortunately, the SSR occurs in the middle of the night, so it's not like I can pick somewhere (like the downtown aquarium in Tampa) to make an event. Roggen is a little bigger and we could maybe land a motel there, preferably on the west side of town.

NB - t Uranus is 0°04' from my Los Angeles MC. However, the SSR doesn't occur in LA and SSRs don't relocate. I'm unclear whether this is a valid transiting aspect in the SSR itself (though it's obviously a valid transit when I'm in LA before and after).

Wow, that's a lovely solar return. I'm making a note of this use case...

I just noticed there are PVP aspects in this SSR. We don't know if these are valid yet, but there's been too much for me to blithely ignore them. To the above, then, we can theoretically add:
