1934 Nepal-Bihar earthquake

Last spring's Nepal quake was the worst natural disaster to hit Nepal in over 80 years. This caused me to wonder about what was even worse 80 years ago. The answer is, the 8.0 magnitude 1934 Nepal-Bihar quake, in which 6,000 to 10,700 people died.
The quake struck at 8:43:25 UT on January 15, 1934, 25N51.6', 86E35.4'. This was only a few hours after the new Capsolar appeared, and a few hours before a new Caplunar. A New Moon at 0°55' Capricorn would occur five hours later.
Year: Capsolar
The brand spanking new Capsolar is... dormant. What was the big deal of this occurring right after the Capsolar? Well, if nothing else, it got rid of the old (1933) Capsolar, which had Venus 0°27' from Descendant (along with Mercury and Mars-Jupiter conjunction being more widely foreground).
