So this Canlunar (11/5/16, 08:29:49 pm Malaysian time) Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia's capital) had Jupiter mundanely 06°11' away before culminating.
Since Klang is just a mere 35km/22 miles west of Kuala Lumpur, it had a similar configuration with negligible difference.

I thought Jupiter was too far off to produce a considerable amount of rainfall. I stood corrected as the next morning a thunderstorm occurred just after reaching school. Glad I didn't get wet!
Even today it rained cats and dogs here!

But for Kuala Lumpur, it rained elephants and rhinos.
According to The Star, (the country's most read English paper), it poured about 128.8mm per hour at the night of last 12th, causing severe flash floods!

“In other words, the probability of rainfall per hour amounting to as high as it did, was estimated to be 1% in any one year,” said a DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) spokesman.

I know that Jupiter performs best at right on the MC, but I didn't know that he's fine with corner seats!

Although, for our usual purposes of looking at ingresses, this would be too far to get us excited, the rules are different for weather. When "wet" planets are broadly foreground, we get the pronounced weather events. This was evident in the original New York University studies in the 1960s.

In this case, though, we get even better. The ingress is not dormant! Neptune is square Ascendant. That changes the game altogether. There is a lot to read in this, including a foreground mundane Saturn-Neptune and a widely rising Mars. These are patterns typical of hurricanes and other destructive floodings. There are more details if you want to break it down (including how the Jupiter-Saturn and Jupiter-Neptune aspects work.)

Ah yes, it's even written in your book, SMA:

Aha! I knew the non-dormancy meant something too!
Hmm if I'm correct I believe Jupiter-Neptune signifies the fuss and brouhaha around Zakir Naik (a controversial Muslim preacher from India, banned from preaching in Canada and many other countries).
He was about to be banned from coming to Malaysia too (in fear of disrupting the racial harmony here), but he was invited to the Muslim-mojority state of Terengganu anyway.
He was awarded some islands in the Kenyir lake to train students.
Also there's some concern that Malaysian Muslims being more strict in Islam than ever and behaving more like Arabs than Malaysians.

I don't know exactly. Broadly speaking, these planets are foreground anyway, and there are complex mechanics on weather generation - weather patterns move west to east, for example. This is probably part of the mechanics.

Hmm, maybe.
The astro map shows the Jupiter-MC line on the South China sea, which possibly may be where the rains are coming from. (?)

P.S. BTW New York had a similar configuration but with Jupiter at the IC. Any increased precipitation there?

You have a Capsolar with Uranus and Pluto on the angle, so radicalization overall would be expected - much disruption, etc. Read in SMA, in Chapter 6 and Appendix B, about the Uranus-Pluto square in particular (and Uranus and Pluto individually angular more generally).

Well I thought radicalisation meant more to the usual ones, with riots and such. Oh yeah, there's also the never ending hate of Malaysians on our Prime Minister, the worst financial minister in Asia according to FinanceAsia.


Overall things are not alright in Malaysia.
