Alice Springs hot air balloon crash

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Two hot air balloons collided August 13, 1989, 6:38 AM ACST (9:30 UT), near Alice Springs, Australia, causing one balloon to crash. All 13 people aboard tied.

This was the world's deadliest balloon accident until the Luxor crash in 2013, and it is still Australia's deadliest.
